I am pissed at John Devsis after seeing leaks for the upcoming update so I drafted up a rewrite of Beast Yeast Chapter 15.
Beast Yeast Chapter 15 rewrite:
- The beasts don't die. They're left in a weakened state, but they're alive. They're pissed at Silent Salt for obvious reasons, but they're MORE pissed about being back stabbed by Dark Enchantress. Reluctantly, the side WITH the ancients to help fight Dark Enchantress, playing off of each others' strengths to get some hits in and by time until White Lily gets there...
- Just like the game, White Lily arrives with the Avatar of Destiny and delivers the final blow. That segment plays out the exact same up until White Lily “dies”…
- She finds herself in Sugar Swan’s paradise, and Sugar Swan herself comes to speak with her. She praises White Lily for her victory, but also gives White Lily a choice; She can either pass on to Tarturaus, or… Sugar Swan can bless her with life cut from Dark Enchantress. She points out that there’s still so much White Lily can do if she chooses to live, reminding her of the speech she gave Silent Salt in Beast Yeast Chapter 12.
- White Lily decides that she wants to keep living, to keep giving freedom not just to others but to herself, freeing herself from her guilt and regrets by facing them with her friends.
- As promised, Sugar Swan returns White Lily to life WITHOUT the fear of worrying about Dark Enchantress. However, she warns White Lily that Dark Enchantress’s actions have shaken up the natural order of the world and to be prepared for whatever comes next.
- White Lily finds herself back with her friends, being hugged by Pure Vanilla. Seeing her okay, the other ancients run up and hug her as well. White Lily hugs them back and tells them she loves them all and that’s she’s sorry, and they tell her they forgive and just are happy to have her back.
- Silent Salt walks up to the group and White Lily properly introduces him the ancients and explains that they’ve become friends. The ancients are a bit surprised by this, but they agree ti trust White Lily’s judgement.
- Silent Salt explains that they’ve beasts have taken off back to their own lands, still weak and attempting to recover (leaving them open to pop up again in future updates and have character development).
- White Lily explains what Sugar Swan told her. Gingerbrave speaks up and says that no matter what comes next, they’ll all face it together. Everyone agrees.
- After the credits roll, the camera pans deep in the ocean into a dark pit, we see a pair of familiar eyes suddenly open with intense music. It’s Longan Dragon Cookie, who has awoken because of the stir Dark Enchantress caused. THEY are the next BBEG, NOT Shadow Milk. Act 2 is focused on the dragons but with a “B Plot” focused on the beasts figuring out what they want as they slowly recover.
- In the epilogue, White Lily again properly apologizes to the ancients and gives them the letters she had written before hand. She gives the box to Golden Cheese and explains that it can revive her subjects. Golden Cheese happy cries at this, finally letting go of her anger and forgiving White Lily.
- We see the settling back into their lives cookies after the war, rebuilding and working towards a better future.
- Pure Vanilla and White Lily FINALLY get a moment of peace alone and explain all of their complex feelings for each other; Pure Vanilla confessing that he loves her and was terrified to loose her again. White Lily confesses that she loves him too, but sometimes felt suffocated by his tightly he held onto her. Pure Vanilla apologizes and asks what he can do to make things right by her. White Lily smiles, asking if they can just talk and catch up for now. Pure Vanilla happily agrees, relived to have her back and to be given the opportunity to TRULY understand her.
(Yall can take that “love” as platonic or romantic, I don’t care because I’m a multi shipper.)
