How to use this blog
Welcome to donationspetitions! I’ll be posting links of people/organizations to donate to and petitions to sign in order to help people.
I use tags so you can search for specific causes, locations, platforms, etc! Here are the tags I use and what they reference: Every post will be tagged with donate, petition, or donate for free Identities: AAPI (Asian-American, Pacific Islander), BIPOC (Black, indigenous, people of color), BLM (Black), disabled, indigenous, immigrants, Latine, LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, etc.), MLM (men who love men), neurodivergent (this refers to people with mental differences such as autism and ADHD), nonbinary, trans, trans men, trans women, WLW (women who love women), women Circumstances: abuse, covid-19, homeless, refugees, sexual assault Donation platforms: bail fund, Cash App, crowdfund, gofundme, justgiving, nonprofit (organizations rather than specific people), Patreon, PayPal, support their work (when you can financially support someone through their business), venmo Petition platforms: change.org Other causes: animals, cats, dogs, environment, essential workers, HIV/AIDS, justice reform (law enforcement, prison system, etc.), mental health, reproductive healthcare (abortion, safer sex supplies, etc.), sex workers I will also tag the state/province and country if possible, so you can help people in your area or places where relevant things are happening (for example, if you want to donate to people affected by transphobic laws being passed in Florida, you would search for “donate trans Florida” or if you want to sign petitions about police misconduct in the US, you would search for “petition justice reform United States”).
The title of each post indicates whether the post is about a petition or donation site, includes relevant trigger warnings, and shows a percentage of how close they are to their goal. I’ll try to keep everything as updated as possible, but will also say when the last update was at the bottom of each post so you know how current the information is.
Feel free to submit posts or send feedback! I’m always open to corrections and suggestions :)
