Ahriman does not understand why the humans dont like looking at him. End and the Death Ahriman
the world is ending and hes going to the library
"Seraphax reached out and took hold of the back of Baelor's neck. Baelor bent forward slightly, and Seraphax touched his lips to Baelor's forehead. Just like all the other times, the fire did not burn him."
The Lion: Son of the Forest by Mike Brooks
Sorry? Just like all the other times?? How many times has this fallen Dark Angel warband leader placed a little kiss on his fellow angel's forehead with his half-burning face??? I need to know in detail.
'Fishing Wall'
A Lamenters short
Brother Dadrail & Brother Kazryan share a small moment before a deadly mission, of which they will not return. They are not forgotten however. To lament, is to remember.
Is this a canon scene in The Unremembered Empire? Absolutely Was I supposed to visualize it this way? I mean who can say, really
Alexis Polux and Barabas Dantioch
Well, guess what, I actually finished it, this is really unusual for me.
I sure hope I don't start noticing mistakes right after posting this! *nervous laughter*
Art dump! This all started off as a bit/joke because my friends all got into warhammer 40k, they tried to get me into it and itās not really my thing in the traditional sense, however, I liked the world building/lore (30k especially). So they introduced me to Sanguinius to due my wing obsession thinking that was their in, and technically, they werenāt wrong, howeverā¦. I announced I was gonna make her a chick because that was the only I found it interesting enough to stick around. So we compromised and started to yap about the lore/game/yadda yadda.
Anyways it snowballed into a āwhat if Sanguinius lived and had to deal with the aftermath of the Hersey and what changes because of itā AU because they had to keep me interested into 40k somehow, so now both horus&sangy are girls, Magnus is here because thereās always 1 Magnus obsessive in the group one must appease, and I like exploring the aftermath of trying and failing to cope with grief. Also red thirst, that shits sick as hell, let her go apeshit guys
Conclusion: They forced the Tumblr girlie into warhammer and now squadās reluctantly invested into the spite fueled AU ;v
Anyways, I did worse by giving her a wife down the line too, but I do fear for my survival somewhat so we wonāt be posting that part yet if at all lol
Secret Sanguinalia is starting up and I haven't even posted my Summerfest work! Here he is anyway, Fulgrim, if he had landed on Chogoris.
I could tell you the Emperor's name, and it would surprise you. I could tell you that the fates decreed Fulgrim to be sent to Chogoris and you to Chemos, and I could tell you which arcane force in the universe prevented it.
-A shard of Magnus, in Scars
I had a such a clear imagine in my mind of Chogorian Fulgrim since I read that, taking a different route than Jaghatai. He's a man made for elaborate headdresses, don't you think?
I know I have some Erebus fans in my feed who are really sick of the "Fuck Erebus (derogatory)" sentiment, but I gotta say. If a character is specifically written to elicit a reaction of
"NO! NO YOU RAT BASTARD HOW COULD YOU?!"
I think it is perfectly reasonable of me to carry that sentiment. I am interacting with the sourcematerial as intended. This character is succeeding in doing what he is meant to do if I'm angry with him, that's not a bug it's a feature.
In other news I just finished End and Death 3
pocket sized Corvus Corax and Gherith Arendi for personal needs
itās really a shame that Jaghatai Khan and Fulgrim were never really close, i think they could have had a lot of fun together, with Fulgrimās mechanic skills i think they couldāve made incredible souped up jetbikes. I also think that Fulgrim would have actually been so interested in Chogoris since Chemos was so polluted, crowded and full of factories he would probably be so inspired seeing a planet with wide open spaces and greenery. Not to mention the horses i think he would be so fascinated by horses.
the whole āyou do strange things to your warriorsā pisses me off so much,*I* know that heās referring to the gene editing, it just gets memeād so much as him calling Fulgrim out for being queer, and being like an āepic burnā or something.
and this is basically a side tangent but iām putting it here. iām so sick of seeing Fulgrim interpreted by the fandom as prissy, bougie and afraid to get dirty. yes he enjoys art and beautiful things, but he also enjoys working with machinery and forging, and heās one of if not the the best primarch in single combat which is not something you can achieve if youāre afraid to get dirty.
I have thought this too, specifically about art and philosophy! The White Scars and Jaghatai have this view about the joy of what you do, that if you dedicate yourself to war, you should be able to find the artistry and beauty in it. It's KINDA SIMILAR to the artistry that the Emperor's Children put into everything they do! I think Fulgrim and Jaghatai could find a lot of common ground if they gave eachother the time of day. They just, tragically, don't.
I like to imagine someone like Sanguinius, who's heard these things from both, making small attempts. "You know, Jaghatai, this thing about the beauty of battle sounds a lot like something Fulgrim said, you should talk to him."
"The haughty, fancy one? Nah."
---
"I agree it is a shame that so few of our brothers care about poetry, Fulgrim. But I know Jaghatai does, perhaps you could discuss it with him also?"
"The guy playing barbaric-horde in the edges of the galaxy? I don't think so."
Of course, Jaghatai doesn't really like the Imperium in general, and doesn't hang out with his brothers much, so it's hard to get over a bad first impression with him. In both directions.
But they could have had fun, argued about aesthetics, compared philosophies and modded jetbikes together. Alas.
I'm not kidding, the last time I posted my art was in 2019 - and this was the year I stopped drawing completely (or so I thought). Oh well
So here is a quick drawing of Azkaellon in a bodyglove because I can't be arsed with a full armour.
Is he pouting? Yes, because Sang hasn't followed his advice yet again.

Birthday present for my friend @iapetusneume, Sanguinius if he had the chance to grow old.
If I have to see Tarasha Euten being referred to as Guillimanās mother one more time Iām gonna start throwing punches.
And I will throw punches back >:(
Euten and Konor raised him together. They were his foster parents. His relationship with her is heavily coded as mother-son. Of course Guilliman calls her his seneschal in 30k, calling her his mom would be disastrous in that environment. Much of his authority comes from being The Emperor of Mankind's Long-Lost Son Executing Policies On Behalf Of Dad. Not to mention, Big E will NOT appreciate the divided loyalties implied by calling another living person "Mom." That sounds like a real good way for your mom to end up dead.
By the time of the Dark Imperium trilogy, Guilliman openly refers to Konor as his father and the Emperor as his creator. If Konor is his father, then Euten is his mother, end of story.
Also because I'm a pedantic nerd who cannot let things go without a "WeLl AcKsHuAlLy," I'm pretty sure various Batman stories depict Bruce acknowledging that Alfred is his foster dad.
Oh Konor 100% was his ārealā dad (real not biological). But no. Euten was not his mom, she was his tutor, his rolemodel, his confidant and more then once Roboutes saviour.
Not being his mom does not diminish her importance in his life. I would say the opposite. But titles actually mean things.
And ive also seen people actually thinking Konor and Euten were married, which is just, eww. Why would you strip a women with an important job and title out of that and turning her into a housewife. Fucking gross.
But "tutor, role model, confidante, and savior" are, for most people, what a mother is. She fulfilled those roles for Roboute when he was young, and those are the roles of a mother. She might not have cooked or cleaned for him, or given birth to him. But she did the all-too important mental and emotional labor of a mother, and that's why people call her his mother.
But not limited to. I think taking away that he literally had servants like her around him takes away from his characterisation. People forget that he was basically a nobleman, raised with a silver spoon in his mouth.
I would even argue that Gallan was more of a second parent to him then Euten was. But no one speaks of him. At least he didn't get paid to care for Roboute.
I am here to join the argument!
And I am going to argue that while Euten was never officially Guilliman's mum, she is functionally Guilliman's mum. Everyone knows it, nobody (canonically) says it.
Except Konrad Curze. And I think he was cutting to the core of the matter.
When I read Imperium Secundus, where the majority of their interactions as far as I've read take place, the impression I got was that Eutens station as Guilliman's mum was always implied.
Now, Guilliman and Euten consotently refer to eachother by title and not as parent and child, but the way they interacted made it seem that she filled a mother's role in his life. The Ultramarines show her a special kind of respect that her official position doesn't really call for. It was my genuine, no-fandom-interaction-yet read that this was because they knew, but couldn't fully formulate, that this was their Primarch's mother.
For me, reducing her to a mom is just straight up sexism. Her being a woman is incidental to the story. Had she been a man, her reception would have been very diffeent.
She is smart, and brave and loyal to a fault. In many ways, her standing up to Curze is reminicent of that āa common soldier stood up to Horusā-myth (yes when Unremembered empire was written that was still just a mythic retelling because the end and the death wasnt written yet).
She is a fucking hero. And by her own actions, not by family obligation. And she deserves to be treated as such.
I disagree that she is 'reduced' to a mom, at least in the way I read it (I will only defend my own take, I've been shielding myself from annoying sides of the fandom quite effectively and am sure there are some mom-Euten depictions out there that I'd hate with a similar passion as you)
I also disagree it would be different if she was a man, because there HH is full to bursting with father figures as it is. No shortage of making men into fathers here. We're low on mother figures because we're honestly low on women in general.
And you're right, she is a fucking hero, she is smart and brave and loyal and stood up to Curze! She did all this through her own actions and not by family obligation. Nothing I said contradicts this. That a love and loyalty has grown familial does not suddenly make it an obligation.
So anyway, this is mostly to explain why I will continue calling Euten Guilliman's mom (even though I know Guilliman himself didn't) whenever I feel like it and you can fistfight me if you want. Tomorrow. I'm going to bed now.
