Well Jupiter is kind of a reddish color and typically always in the same part of the sky so if you know where and when to look there’s a good chance you’ll see it. [glances back at her telescope for a second] Did you wanna see?

[shakes her head] A lot of the equipment I use is either stuff I know how to fix myself or something I’ve made myself but thank you.

Oh, [nods before looking over to the telescope, hesitating a moment before looking back to her] You wouldn't mind?

Well I'll keep that in mind for next time. I'm glad his presence in the labs didn't harm any of your work. Anything else I should be updated on? Any discoveries worth mentioning?

[pauses slightly when she hears a familiar voice behind her, finishing up writing a couple more findings down on her pad of paper before setting the pen down and turning around to face Peggy] Oh well Jupiter is visible from New York for the first time all summer so I’m making the most of it while I can. Was there something you needed me for?

[nods at her response] That's fascinating. How do you know which one it is, though? [shakes head] No, nothing in particular. Just doing rounds, as usual. Wanted to see how you were doing, if you needed anything replaced or fixed. I hear Harry Osborn was in the labs the other day and the last time that happened, we almost had an acidic solution spill on our hands.

[walking out of the library with several books, all of which she is balancing with one arm as she speaks with an authoritative voice on the phone] No, I spoke to the editor from the Times two days ago and told him that Tony Stark is not currently doing interviews— about anything… [sighs softly, feeling the books begin to tip and quickly moves to pace them on the nearest surface, using her now free hand to pinch the bridge of her nose, finishing the call quickly. Drops the phone in her purse, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath before opening them and finally noticing the other person] Oh, forgive me; I was so wrapped up in that call that I didn’t notice you.

[making her rounds, finding that Tony is the next person to check up on and sighs to herself, shaking her head slightly. Coincidentally hears his name being spoken by a familiar voice, a relieved smile forming on her features as she decides to take a detour, turning to walk towards Pepper. Sees she's on the phone and stays a few feet from her, allowing her to finish the conversation. Gives her a small smile when Pepper finally notices her, letting out a small huff of laughter] It's quite alright. You're certainly wrapped up in things. Tony's still not doing interviews? [frowns at herself before apologizing] Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I just was about to go check up on him and when I heard you say his name, I heard he wasn't doing interviews.

[is up on the roof of the academy surrounded by a couple different telescopes, her laptop and various notebooks. Looks through her telescope while jotting down notes in the notebook beside her. Pauses only for a moment when she hears the door shut behind her. Says without looking up] Don’t touch anything… please [continues jotting down notes, not giving another thought to the person behind her]

[walks up to the rooftop with a manilla folder hugged to her chest with one arm, a small sigh of relief leaving her when she sees Jane there. Begins to slowly make her way towards the other young woman, only slowing down at her words] Wouldn't dream of it, Agent Foster. I'm just glad you're here. I looked for you down in the labs and was thoroughly confused when you weren't there. Mind if I ask what you're doing?

Steve: Wait, what do you mean?

Peggy: I mean you need more substantial evidence. I.E. You have to see me in said shirts on several occasions to come to a valid conclusion.

Steve: Really? I think it's safe to say you look better in them than he does.

Peggy: I don't think you have enough evidence of that, to be quite honest.

Steve: It won't, I assure you. Is he? I don't see it.

Peggy: I'd say so. He looks really nice in white T-Shirts. Simple yet very effective. I think I have a few of his stashed under my bed, actually.

Steve: I'm still sorry about that, by the way. I don't doubt that they'll all find there way at some point. Crazier things have happened- people being frozen in ice for 70 years and then waking up with no major health issues, for example.

Peggy: It's okay, let's just make sure that never happens again. Fury was NOT pleased with me that day. I think I've heard of that frozen man, actually. He's kind of fit, if you ask me.

Steve: Thanks. And I'm sorry to hear that they don't get to see each other very often, that must be tough for both of them. Rosie the Riveter. It's too bad you don't have a pair with her on them, for some reason I have this feeling that she'd get along with Margaret Thatcher.

Peggy: Don't mention it. Besides, we can't have another mishap of last time. I almost fell asleep standing up when I had the decaf tea for breakfast. Rosie Riveter! Yes, thank you. Oh I have no doubt that they'd get on excellently. Adding Rosie, Shakespeare and the Queen in the group would be a amazing. One can dream.

Steve: If you're inviting her as well I suppose I'll have to pick up more tea- you finished off your supply of it last time you were here. Does Shakespeare have plans with Geoffrey Chaucer or something?

Peggy: Do you need me to send you a picture of the box for when you pick it up? Actually I'll do that either way, just to be safe. Not this time, Chaucer and Shakespeare's schedules seldom match up as of late. Something to do with them both being dead… who knows. But actually, I don't have a Shakespeare pair :( it's on my 'to-get' list, though, along with the Queen and that one American woman… what's her name? She flexes one arm and wears a bandana.

Steve: Just come over whenever you can, you're always welcome. Thank you for the warning that Einstein and Churchill will be joining us, I'll make sure the place is especially clean. I've never met Einstein, but it's been a while since I've seen Churchill. Hopefully he'll forgive me for not keeping in touch.

Peggy: I like to believe he's a rather reasonable man, I'm sure he will understand if you just explain the situation. I like the idea of us being in the company of important men of history. I'll have to bring over my pair with Margaret Thatcher, though, so I won't feel so alone with all you men. Oh! Maybe one day Shakespeare will join us.

Steve: I'm glad we can agree on that. I'll drop the breakfast discussion as long as you explain the Lincoln ones next time I see you- which I expect will be sooner rather than later. Are the majority of your things here now or does it just seem that way?

Peggy: Sounds like a plan. I have a lot of assignments that should keep me busy for the weekend, but after that I should have some spare time. No, it probably just seems that way because I steal your shirts and then bring over some of my favourite socks. Next visitors should be Albert Einstein and Winston Churchill.

Steve: The patriotic flow will be fine now that they're out of sight. I'm pretty sure you've left a lot of colored ones over here- there's ones with toast on them and President Lincoln... Why do you have those?

Peggy: Well thank goodness; can't have that flow interrupted by some British pride. The toast socks are over there on purpose. I always make a better breakfast when I wear those socks. The Lincoln ones are a bit harder to explain… Long story short, my dad got me an identical pair when we moved to the States, and those are the replacement that I bought before coming to the Academy.

Damn, I've missed New York.

[raises an eyebrow at the last comment about relationships but doesn’t say anthing. Instead she squares her shoulders and looks Peggy directly in the eye, saying coolly] Well, unfortunately for you, I am here now and I am going to get my position back. It could take weeks, months, a year- it doesn’t matter. I know I’ll be back on top where I belong one day because I fought too hard and too damn long to earn it in the first place. I’m not going to let my position go without a fight.

[says in a serious tone] I was born into SHIELD. My entire life has revolved around SHIELD. I have sacrificed more than you know for the sake of SHIELD. I've worked just as hard as you have for SHIELD. If you think I'm going to let what's rightfully mine slip out of my hands so easily again, you are horribly mistaken, Maria. [begins to walk passed Maria stopping after a few feet and says over her shoulder at her] And if you do get the position back, it won't be without a long and exhausting fight. Until then, it's my position. [continues to walk off towards her next destination]

See, a comment like that I expect to come from Stark or you know, a middle school girl. You though, that’s… new. [looks at Peggy and shrugs] You can say what you want about my leaving but I had my reasons and if you had bothered to keep in contact with me, you might know what those reasons are. As for the job, Fury knows how dedicated I am and that I’ve worked my ass off for him ever since I joined SHIELD. I could take an even longer vacation and he would still consider me a contender for his job one day. Deep down, I think you know that.

Well, Stark is a successful genius who personally flew a nuclear missile into outer space to save the city, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to pick up a few of his tricks every now and again. [Expression remains the same] I never said you didn't have your reasons, and I was careful to word it that way. Though, I suppose I could have picked up the phone once or twice to call, but I guess I was so busy with work. [nods once] Oh, I know that. Just as I know that he considers me for the position, as well. And probably a handful of other students at the Academy that we don't know about. This isn't about what he's told us. This is about who's here now and who's willing to give up everything else in their life for this– sleep, communication, spare time… relationships. Everything.
