When I saw that this book was available for review, I had to have it. Reading âMy Life in Franceâ was one of my little joys in 2015, and Iâm fortunate enough to have found this follow-up.
This book is written and read (for the audiobook version) by Alex Prudâhomme, Julia Childâs grandnephew, and it chronicles Childâs life right where My Life in France left off, including Juliaâs rise to fame in her homeland of the United States and her forays into television.

Rad Women Wordlwide - Book Review
Love this book! Itâs an illustrated history of ladies around the world, throughout history who are doing badass things. The book is a smallish hardcover with a modern, eye-catching cover. Perhaps the most exciting thing about this book is the number of women highlighted with whom Iâm not familiar. How refreshing to find new ladies to learn about!

There's something magical about this book, and I'm not sure if it's the eccentricity but unmistakable charm of the main characters, the unlikely plot, or the way that the entire text feels very grounded in its own small corner of the literary universe. This was one of those book covers I saw all over the place a few years ago, but didn't get around to reading until now. Still worth it--and still a great cover.
