Zachary nodded, understanding her pain. “Being homesick sucks. The only good thing about it is that the longer you are gone from your home, the better it feels to come back to. You aren’t gone forever, it just seems to feel that way.” He hesitated before patting her gently on the back.

Tooth frowned nodding at his words. “Yeah I guess you’re right.” She knew he was right, the longer she is away the more she is going to love being back. But it’s also gonna make her not want to leave home again.

“I guess not.” He wasn’t sure right off how close Pennsylvania was, but she wasn’t lying about it not being around the corner. “Maybe you can take a trip back soon?” He didn’t want to see the other girl bummed out about missing home. He wished there was something he could do to cheer her up. “Does he know you’re here?” Okay, that was an obvious question. But he had to ask. “You seem like a really great person, I don’t see how he wouldn’t miss you. I don’t know who Easton is, but I don’t think you’re naive. It’s not naive to think your friend cares about you. That’s a friend’s job.”

Tooth knew the guy was only trying to comfort her but she felt like she was too sad to be brought out of this. “Maybe, or maybe a parents weeks would be nice, but I just really miss my friends and family.” She looked down at her lap the tears were starting up again. “I mean everyone knows everyone here, and you wouldn’t miss hearing about a girl named Toothiana.” She gave the boy a sad smile. “Thanks I guess. Easton is one of my friends back home. But he is right, I followed him here because of a stupid crush.”

Zero knew when someone was in pain. It had been too frequent for him. The boy knew it was rude to stare, but he wanted to offer her some comfort. After all, she did look distressed. “Your eyes seem to be leaking. Are you alright?”

Tooth looked up to see a blonde boy. She let out a soft laugh when he said her eyes were leaking. “Kind of missing home.”

“I’m sure maybe I’ll go bother him in a bit. Right now I’m spending time with you and that is more important.” She laughed shaking her head. Convincing Jack to do anything was fairly easy but she didn’t want to force him to do anything he didn’t want to. “What kind of clever things? I’m all about Halloween maybe we can do something clever? Well what would you want to be, I’ll make it.”

Tooth smiled at the red head. “Trust me, Sally, he will do anything for you.” Tooth and Jack were friends, friends no one would expect to really be friends, but friends none the less. “We would do a group thing for Halloween. I think one year we dressed up like super heroes. This year since I’m going solo I think I want to be Poison Ivy or maybe Batgirl.”

Maiden perched himself much like a curious bird on the chair watching her like she was something he had never seen in his life before. “No problem at all.” He cocked his head the other way, “That is a normal thing, we all miss home or what we presume to be home. I miss my home but my home doesn’t really miss me at the moment at least. She seems to be very upset with me at the moment.” He paused in his ramblings cocking his head the other way, “It is okay to cry, it’s everyone’s way to release pent up emotion. Tell me about your friends maybe that will help.” His eyes never looking away from hers, not even down to the ordinate handkerchief with his initials engraved on it.

“Well I’ve never been far from my friends or family or even home. I followed someone here. I left home and my friends for some.. some stupid boy!” She looked placed her hands on her face. She was just some love struck girl. “You wanna hear about my friends? They are the best.” She smiled softly at the thought of them. “First, is Sandy, they like to use they or them pronouns, never use she or her around them. They are pretty quite around a lot of people but no one knows them like I do. They are so sweet, and I can always count on them. They are my best friend. Then there is Nikolas, he is like a big brother, he comes off as big and intimidating but he is like a big teddy bear, he is the most caring on out of all of us. Then there is Easton, me and him are okay, he thinks I’m childish and thinks I need to be looked after like is Jack. Lastly is Jack, the boy I followed here, the one he doesn’t know I’m even here, the one who doesn’t seem to care I came for him.”

“Oh, yeah, that sucks. Where are you from?” Fred felt that way sometimes, but his friends weren’t far away. He could always go back and visit if he had any free time. Some people didn’t have that chance. Hearing the girl say her friend didn’t care that she was there broke his heart. “Now I doubt that’s true. Why would you think that?”

“I’m from Burgess, Pennsylvania. It’s a cute little town. But it’s not just around the corner.” Tooth frowned knowing she couldn’t just get up and go when she wanted. “Because I’ve been here for months and no once has he tried to talk to me. I know were he would be try to play it off as if I was just there because I needed to be. Seems like he doesn’t care anymore. Easton was right, maybe I am too naive..”

“Oh.” Dory’s shoulder’s deflated for half a second. “Well, I swim a lot back home, so I’m used to being in the water all the time!”

“Ooooh, okay. I get it now, you feel dry because you aren’t in the water a lot.” She giggled softly. “We have a school pool though so maybe you can go there.”

Eve has been so invested in what she was studying that she got tired at one point. In the short break she took, her eyes wandered around the people in the library and landed on a girl who was obviously upset. She stood up and approached the girl. “I assume that your tear was not caused by something you are reading.”, she told her as she handed her tissue.

Tooth gave her a sad smile and shook her head. “I wish it were a book that was making me cry.” She murmured softly.

Fred was only passing by when he noticed Tooth, alone with a tear rolling down her face, and he probably should have just kept walking but he couldn’t make himself of that. He didn’t like seeing people cry. He didn’t like people being sad. “Hey, are you okay?” He asked, putting his brakes on. “What’s wrong? Don’t cry. I can tell you a joke if you want.”

Tooth wiped her tears with her sleeve and shrugged. “Just a little homesick I guess. I’m seeing all these friends being reunited and one of mine are here but I don’t think he cares I’m here or not.”

Maiden was in a bit better spirits but not the best after hi brief encounter with Alice but when he saw the other girl tearing up he couldn’t help himself. Perching on a chair like a monkey he handed her his handkerchief, “What has you crying?”

Tooth looked up at the guy for a moment before taking the handkerchief to wipe her eyes. “Thanks.” She murmured softly. “J-just missing home and my friends.” She looked back down at her the handkerchief in her hands.

“I was leaning more towards Morticia but then I have to convince my boyfriend to be Gomez because I would be kinda sad as just Morticia.” She giggled a bit before smiling to Toothianna, “How have you been by the way? Maybe we can pick you out something for Halloween as well?”

“That would be so cute! I’m sure you can convince him to be Gomez.” She giggled, she knew Jack and she knew he would do anything to make Sally happy. “I’m feeling a little homesick. With Halloween me and my friends would do clever things. It was so much fun. I wouldn’t know where to start with finding a costume.”
