Our blue planet is painted redder and redder each day. Terrorist attacks, bloody retalliation strikes and hatred on both fronts dominate the global landscape. How do we respond to this situation? How can we be the salt and the light to a dying world?
Marriage is a privilege, a gift. As well as human life. We can change ourselves, but we cannot change our gift.
Finally got to see Lecrae live! I believe that rap and hip hop have more to say than what is portrayed in mainstream media. (Re-)discover what I mean about it.

I imagine that when Moses split the Red Sea, there were two groups of people. The first group was composed of victorious triumphant warriors saying, “In your face, Egyptians! This is our God!” They were pumping their fists and thrusting their spears. The second group was composed of doubtful, panicking screamers running full speed through whales and plankton. I’m a Screamer. I’m a cynic. I’m a critic. I’m a Peter, who can make a good start off the boat, but falls in the water when my eyes wander. I’m not endorsing a halfway lukewarm faith. I believe God wants us to have a robust, vibrant, thriving relationship with Him. But as for me, I’ll be limping to the finish-line. I’m more of a Thomas than a Paul. I’m more Martha than Mary. I’m more David than Daniel. Yet the Warriors and Screamers all made it through. It’s not easy to have faith the size of a mustard seed. But Jesus promised that this would be enough to move mountains, and I’m learning to be okay with that.

Anderson fucking Cooper, everyone.
Some journalists like to be strictly observers. they don’t intervene, they don’t participate. they just document what they see, even if what they see is terrible. But the way I see it, journalists don’t exist in a vacuum. They are human beings, living and working in a very human environment. And that humanity is essential in relating to their stories. When you lose your humanity, you lose any kind of journalistic integrity you have left.

Our faith isn’t dependant on correct theological beliefs, intellectual knowledge, or even our ability to interact with God—these things are important but utterly useless without a loving relationship with Christ. If you don’t have all the answers, don’t worry, because you never will. Christianity isn’t about a quest for answers. Theology is really meant to reveal the Divine truth that God is love, ultimately helping us love God better, and love others as we would love ourselves.

i-think-i-found-something asked:
I just want to start out by saying that I love your blog, it gives me reassurance about my faith in Jesus Christ each day, which is something I have been especially needing lately, so thank you for everything you do. I wanted to ask you about your journey...
This life is not about finding someone who will want you, it’s about finding a God who desires you above all else. It’s so easy to admire a candle when we have never seen the sun, so it is when it comes to longing another person more than we long for Christ. The love we find in others is simply the shadow of the love we find in Christ, because when we shift our goals and hopes to Christ; we bring more value and meaning to those around us.
