Gonna be honest guys, saving every single fanart of dood to my camera roll is very impractical, so I made this stupid gimmick blog so I can have all my doodler art and posts in one place.

You can probably guess who I am if you know the people in the fandom well enough, but let’s pretend it’s a mystery, yeah?

I wanted The Eel to call Dood 'Young Nameless' rather than by a title or eldritch name not only as a sign of partial indifference to learning their name, but also to reflect how Dood does not know their given name.

No I don't know why this interaction would ever happen, but I do know that The Bloodshed would not be too pleased about it.

For people who haven't seen my other art post about Dood, this entire design for him comes from my personal headcanon that he is a child of The King in Yellow.

The cloak is also inspired by that headcanon as the symbol on the back is a mix between their sigil (with the film reel and the eyes) and parts of The King's (With the yellow and the top of his sign as the center of the eyes)

Every Eldritch Horror/God has a name that humans cannot speak. So now there's the angst potential of Dood speaking with another eldritch and they call him by a name he's never heard. She has only ever known humans; she doesn't know what her parent/creator named her.

Thinking about Dood being a child of The King in Yellow, again. Thinking about her being abandoned on earth after getting trapped with Hildy because she couldn't complete her purpose. Thinking about the darkness they talk about being the Lake of Hali. Thinking about her being forced back onto Carcosa by the teens. Thinking about The King maybe giving them a chance to prove herself, which leads her to learning what eldritches are meant to actually do. Thinking, thinking, thinking

Something reached out to it, called to it maybe? And yet, unlike other things that were called to it, the thing didn't covert or claw or cry. No, even in the call, the thing seemed almost itself.

Taking it in a firm handshake. A greeting.

It was being welcomed.

And yet, as soon as it had realised this, it heard its own name.

The Doodler.

And with that, the door that had been opened to it was being slammed in its face. It screeched, clawing at the frame of reality. Why was it being shunned? Had it not been welcomed? Held? Instead of a hold, it pulled with it the being that cursed it and one other, a being more stable, more alive. A home.

Falling.

Falling.

A boy, alone, cruel, scared. A boy, lost, sad, scared. A boy, confused, trapped, scared.

And memories of water.
