it's time. to start that next batch of adopts i mentioned a while ago back when doing the "solarpunk" adopts. ok I'm so glad I did not hit post bc i have already claimed two for mysefl
i was hoping to make a video game for the YAOI GAME JAM (!!!) but it's not looking realistic based on my present workload and also artfight so here are the character sprites i made LOL

this au (where felix and morgan aren't dreadnauts) is called "crybaby fighter" which is felix's original epithet but that's what i would've called the game :') i wrote it out just didn't script it, and i got too overwhelmed by how much i had to draw with the time i had SOB and my friend whom i was gonna work with also wasn't feeling it, so we just decided to call it quits. i think there's a possibility we make this game in the future, but alas, not this month
CF was gonna be a simple sidescroller fighting game with qte elements! you'll see in the "fights" notes below that i originally planned to draw individual fight screens for when u lock in on an enemy ("pick a fight" interaction), but then i decided that was too hard. and then i decided the whole thing was too h
the storyline is basically an adaptation of felix n morgan's oc lore, with felix still being a runaway rich boy disillusioned by his meaningless life who decided to start from scratch and is having a HARD time. morgan is still a gang medic and med student with a with-benefits arrangement with the gang leader.
felix is especially teeny here, and morgan is less smiley and more stressed </3
BUT NOW: we have a gang leader!!
i didn't write it down in his profile, but damian's gang is called the bloodhounds. he's a bad guy. and also the most honorable guy you'd meet. he also utterly pulverizes felix in a scripted loss </3
AND. it's true. there's yuri in your yaoi!!!
claire is damian's younger sister and introduces the "pickpocket" mechanic, and is morgan's escort to and from school (mentioned vaguely in their og lore)! she hangs out at the tin can corner store, where her gf rena works :) rena is actually the first character we meet as felix, as he shows up to the store beaten up and bloody with enough coins for a sandwich but needs band-aids, too. so rena gives him some band-aids bc she feels bad for him FHFJF
damian and claire have jacket off models, damian takes off his jacket to pulverize felix, and claire gives morgan her jacket when he and felix run away from the city!
there were also plans to have like straight up full cgs and stuff for important cutscenes, aka felix and morgan having a very tense and vulnerable convo (not in their og lore), and. felix discovering morgan and damian in the act FHFJ
i really like their video game story, it's much richer and more thought out lol idk if i'll share it since it is just ten pages of bullet points and alludes to vague game mechanics, but it'll at least Exist!!
sigh. if only i was not COOKED for the rest of this summer...this Could exist as a straightforward super simple visual novel we'll see...if anyone knows any free super beginner friendly vn engines lmk sob
