Quick tutorial I whipped up for a friend.

How to do smoke in Procreate:

1) Use freehand selection tool to make a squiggle in a curling shape.

2) With a textured eraser (I used Penzance) lighten the smoke farthest from its source.

3) Using a tapered brush, add details that compliment the line of action.

4) Clean it up! Cut up the silhouette. The world is your oyster. Then you can play with opacity and settings, yay!

Any tips for making a character sheet for an OC? Wanna make one for art fight but I'm new to it, so any advice is much appreciated

Absolutely! I can’t speak for how art fight does things but I will talk a bit about the kind of character sheet I find helpful as an artist.

When I get commissions, the character sheets I appreciate most include: multiple angles, a breakdown of the character’s clothing, and multiple expressions. Short descriptions of personality and mannerisms are helpful as well!

Here are a couple of character sheets I’ve put together for my OCs. Color isn’t necessary on all of the images but I’d suggest color on at least the full-body shot. If you don’t have much art it’s also useful to put vibes and sources of inspiration in there to clarify your vision. Hope this helps!
