I have a shit ton of OCs. Here's the links to my biggest plot-point posts for them! (WILL BE UPDATED)
I really do love that we've collectively decided that Adrian is the Eridian equivalent of Jessica Rabbit. They're so super hot and everyone is trying to court them while Rocky is away, especially now that it's been like ~50 years, but they just won't because no one could brighten their day like Rocky, and if Rocky doesn't come back, the sun might as well die.
When itâs announced that a Bay Area middle school teacher is one of three heroes sent to save the world, San Francisco clamors to rename things to âRyland Grace.â Grover Cleveland Middle is quick to the draw, becoming Ryland Grace Middle the very next school year. Grace also gets a street, of course, a science wing at Stanford, a state park along the coast â by the time the Beetles return, you could probably throw a rock in San Francisco and hit a Ryland Grace reference.
Eva Stratt, meanwhile, is a stain. Graffiti tucked away in alleys and under bridges, forever painted over by the powers that be. A name meant to be forgotten. Stratt has always known this was part of the deal: after all, humanity needs a villain just as much as it needs its heroes. The best she can hope for is to be erased entirely on Earth.
And yet, light-years away, there is a beloved body of water, its surface dancing with artificial waves, that Ryland Grace wistfully refers to as The Sea of Stratt.
hey remember in this post when I mentioned that I had headcanons for Charlie and how he ended up being a merc in NC
behold
The Merc Charlie headcanons
So we know Charlie grew up in Vienna, his family went bankrupt and he landed in a life of crime.
Likely landed in gangs along the way, having to run from badges and going from gang to gang with several targets on his head.
After years of this, he ends up in California, in the Badlands, in hopes of disappearing from the targets and crimes he'd committed back home, and with both parents dead, he was officially alone for quite some time. After a year of picking up odd jobs by Nomads or outlaws, he found himself in front of Night City's border, and crossing into the city for a new life.
He immediately started picking up jobs from Fixers, slowly building up a street cred and reputation as a reliable merc throughout the districts, landing in a small, comfortable apartment in Japantown.
A few years into this, one night, walking the street between gigs, he watched someone drag a Doll into an alley, likely to assault or kill. So he followed with his iron at the ready.
And he got greeted with a solid punch to the chest by said Doll, who thought he was with the ganger that dragged him there.
Quick words were exchanged, and once he watched that Doll jack into the dead gangers neuralport, he realized that he was also a Netrunner, and he just probably drained that mans cred account.
That Netrunner was Jago Szabo.
After convincing Jago to let him walk with him to his apartment building, they got to talking. He learned that Jago used to be a Runner for Wakako Okada, before being taken into Petrochem, trying to escape, and instead being arrested after committing embezzlement, then having to go back to only having Doll and BD work.
He told Jago about how he ended up in the city alone. They clicked quickly.
Before he left Jago that night, he gave him his contact info with the offer of becoming his crew. And a week later, he was picking Jago up in the morning for them to run gigs together for the next few hours until Jago had to go to where ever he was working that night.
That same year, Kurt Hansen and his Barghest unit took over what would become Dogtown. And when they realized that radiance of NC started fleeing there, they decided that was the next step for them, too, if they wanted the new targets on them to disappear.
The next year, they got a place in the Stacks. And being the only mercs in town at the time, they established themselves quickly.
Another year later, Charlie found Jago being nearly cornered by two Barghest pups. While he didn't immediately know what was going on, he did know that Jago was actively trying to get away.
Those pups had to go back to the Black Sapphire with busted gear, more then a few bruises and a few broken bones. And with their cred partially drained.
He knew that, it would either end there, or they'd be killed.
Instead, Kurt Hansen himself wanted to meet with them. And he gave Jago the offer of joining Barghest as the Chief Netrunner and CFO.
Jago took it on the condition that Charlie could come with him.
And now, he's his personal body gaurd- his "Guard Dog" as Jago calls him- and is perfectly happy to be by his side
Is this because he is deeply in love with Jago, puts that mans life above his own, is beyond ready to die if it means Jago lives, but will never say anything out of fear of ruining their friendship... what, no thats crazy
I am cordially inviting all of you to post this in the comments/reblogs of any and every Al post you come across, on any platform. Especially useful for accounts who âteachâ people how to use Al.
Jago fell for Maya pretty early on, but he didn't want to admit it. There was a part of him that was scared to love and another part that was scared to admit that he could love. Maya fell for him only a few short months into working alongside him. She never let it slip, just continued acting normal. She figured nothing could come out of it, that they had to put work and business above all else.
They began hanging around the bar beneath the stadium during any free moments. And, on occasion, hanging out in Jago's room for a moment or two away from the world. They usually got pretty drunk and often times pretty high. One night, Jago suggested they make their way to the rooftop of the Sapphire for a smoke and to watch the stars. Maya had already found her way up there a few times before and usually smoked a cig or a joint while letting her feet dangle over the edge. It was usually where she did most of her thinking.
The stuff Jago brought was extra strong, and they both ended up doing more than they should have. One thing led to another and soon they were making out. Hands roamed beneath shirts and kisses grew sloppier and sloppier. It wasn't until Jago moaned that they stopped. Maya was confused. Jago was freaking out. He fled back to his own room while Maya sat there trying to figure out what she did.
Jago ignored Maya after the fact, only ever speaking to her when he genuinely needed her help with something work related. This both frustrated and upset her. It was obvious to Maya that he liked her in the same ways she liked him. So, she did the only thing she could think of to get his attention back - make him jealous.
First, she went for who she thought would grab his attention the most- Bennett. Unlike my main AU, this Bennett has no romantic interests in Maya. But he was happy to agree to have sex with her since there would be strings attached (and because he knew it would upset Jago). This lasted for only a week. And while it did make Jago mad to see her with another, he still didn't give in.
Next, Maya went for Yuri (I do have another AU where they get together, but I'm not extending it to here sns). Yuri agreed to kiss her and flirt with her around Jago but not to sex.
It wasn't until she tried to do the same thing with Murphy that Jago finally snapped and stepped in. The two argued forever until they finally both came out and shared their true feelings for one another. Jago felt stupid for letting his head get to him. Maya didn't regret trying to make him jealous. She found his torture to be entertaining.
Come on, now, op. We all know squidward doesnât go to the club.
Heâs one of those âIâm not like other gaysâ gays who goes home to a bottle of wine and his obscure 50s vaudeville records, and then mopes because he can never find a boyfriend.
