My experience with the good omens finale (like 20 days late)

Sooo, this is more about how I felt and what good omens means to me rather than picking apart the finale.

The first time I watched the show I was like 13-14 and I was in the process of getting out of a really toxic friend group, I think that time in my life is the lonliest I've ever been. I remember picking the show and it immediately feeling like something important, like something that could comfort me I guess. And it did, it really did. I finished the show and immediately started watching it again lol.

I read the book, I made my sister watch the show just so I could watch it again and it did help me thru a REALLY bad time.

Back in November I started to feel kind of depressed again, for the first time in like two years and I tried not to get scared but over the months it just kept escalating until it got really scary. That's sort of when I re-found the show. It felt just as comforting as when I was 13, it really surprised me. I was a bit embarrassed too, honestly. That's sort of why I downloaded Tumblr.

I think what really drew me in was that it gave me something to stay and wait for, the finale. Honestly, I am doing way better now, I'm in therapy (yayy)

I remember watching the finale and having really mixed feelings about it because ofc and I also remember I cried a lot, not because of the story itself, but because it was over and I didn't have it to look forward to anymore.

But I can feel that I don't really need something to look forward to just to stay anymore. I'm actually pretty happy lately :))))

Good Omens has been a really comforting space when I've needed it and I'm really thankful for it!!!

Also genuinely Neil Gaiman absolutely sucks and I hate him.
