Hey, I was wondering, (and I'm not sure you'll answer-that's alright) but I love your blog and could I request paladin headcannons (or just Pidge if not all) for their S/O having a bad asthma attack?
Let’s pretend this is their first asthma attack
Lance
You were supposed to be watching a movie, but ended up making out on his couch around halfway in. Things began to get heavy but you soon pulled away, complaining that your chest felt tight.
He didn’t think much of it and continued where you had left off, you happily obliging.
It wasn’t until your breathing started to get shallow did he worry. Sure, usually you both end up out of breath after a makeout session, but you were practically wheezing.
He tried to ask if you were okay, but all he got in response was a fit of violent coughs. You looked absolutely terrified of what was happening.
He had to help you out into the car before he drove you to the hospital, terrified with every second that you would stop breathing completely.
Once there, he was relieved that it was just an asthma attack and that you should be fine after a breathing treatment.
He ended up staying with you in the ER the entire time, filling out forms and talking to the doctors for you.
Keith
He had taken you out on a date around town that night, but halfway in you started to feel winded. Assuming it was from all the walking, you asked him if the two of you could rest at a nearby bench.
He was relaxing with his arm around you when he noticed you start to grip his shirt sleeve tightly.
Your breathing had only gotten worse, and now there was a pain in your chest every time you inhaled.
He put two and two together and realized what was happening, taking you to the hospital before it got any worse.
Not wanting you to work yourself even more, he gave you a piggy back ride to the car which was parked a few blocks away.
He was surprisingly calm the whole way there, making sure you didn’t panic even as your condition worsened, and held your hand for the whole hospital visit.
Thankfully, the breathing treatment worked really well and you were out within a few hours, Keith beside you the entire time.
Pidge
Pidge had invited you over to play a few retro games, and it was getting super competitive. You were about to yell at her about cheating, but when you inhaled you felt a sharp pain in your chest.
She paused the game, asking if you were alright after seeing you wince. You explained what happened, inhaling once again only to let out a violent cough afterwards.
Claiming you’re fine, you two went back to the game without much thought.
But then you began to wheeze.
She instantly ran to her mother who frequently suffered from mild attacks. Noticing your condition, she allowed you to use her fast acting inhaler in hopes that it would help. Even so, after a half an hour and multiple puffs you were only getting worse.
Pidge helped you into the car as her mom drove you to the hospital, terrified of what would happen.
She ended up buying you a giant teddy bear once you were feeling better, scolding you for scaring her so badly.
Hunk
The two of you were cuddling after a long day of work when you erupted into a coughing fit, your chest muscles tightening.
He was concerned, but presumed it was nothing.
It was when you didn’t stop coughing that he began to panic, freaking you out as well. That only made it worsen much quicker, going from coughing to wheezing in minutes.
He ended up dragging you out to the car before you could tell him how bad it was, and sped the whole way to the hospital.
The doctors honestly found it cute how worried he was, asking so many questions that it made their heads spin.
While in the waiting room he refused to let you move, filling out your papers for you because he didn’t want you to strain yourself (It’s just paperwork Hunk, you won’t die from holding a pen).
Afterwards he always made sure you carried your inhaler with you, no matter where you were going.
Shiro
You had just gotten done cleaning the dishes and were about to join him on the couch when your breathing started to feel shallow.
Assuming you were just out of shape, you didn’t feel the need to mention it and took a seat next to Shiro.
Even with the chest pains and coughing, you didn’t believe it was anything serious you should worry about.
But of course, Shiro noticed you worsening state and talked some sense into you, eventually convincing you to go to the hospital (but damn did you put up a fight).
To be completely honest, you were terrified of hospitals. The whole thought of going to one sent shivers down your spine.
Thankfully, Shiro stayed by your side to calm the nerves, explaining to the doctors your condition much better than you could’ve.
He was constantly rubbing your back or holding your hand until you were able to leave, scolding you for not telling him about your symptoms earlier.
