HER MIND HAS BEEN SCATTERED SINCE THE INVASION HAD STARTED, BUT IT'S ARGUABLE THAT SHE'S BEGINNING TO FIND SOME CALM HERE AT THE END OF DAYS. IT'S STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS.

adelaide doesn't expect the voice, turns sharply. her clothes and face are still bloodied, there's blood drying in her hair. but she's not wearing a red jumpsuit and neither is the stranger, and an optimist like her husband might say that makes them allies.

gabe is back at the ambulance with the kids and the gun -- adelaide had insisted he keep it, just in case. she doesn't know if she's more scared of the remaining tethered or those who might take advantage of societal collapse. besides, she doesn't trust guns, and haven't recent events proven that she's just as much a weapon as she is a woman?

she's still unmoving, takes in the stranger with calculating eyes. " i -- no, " she manages, and she's fought demons and killed, you'd think she'd have got better at social stuff. she hesitates, takes a chance. " i'm just looking for supplies. are -- are you alone? "

ADELAIDE SMELLS SOMETHING BAKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND AT FIRST STILL THINKS SHE'S DREAMING.

it's the little things, the details that continue to fascinate her. the way something can smell warm. the way color is everywhere, unapologetic. when she allows herself to think like this, ( like a stranger ), everything's a marvel.

slipping out of bed and pulling a pale blue sweater over her pajamas, she pads into the kitchen to see her roommate. she'd met eleanor "call me nell" crain through a friend of gabe's, and had been surprised by how well they got along given adelaide's usual hesitancy with new people. they'd been living together long enough that seeing nell baking early in the morning was a usual enough occurence for adelaide to feel comfortable leaning on the doorframe and asking, "bad dreams?"

after the events of the movie, adelaide wilson and red are taken into the fog. addy just wants to find a way home, no matter who she has to kill to do it.

perks:

1) I Got Five On It: enhanced durability. due to actually being a clone, addy can take more hits than a regular human, as seen in the movie. takes an extra hit to down her, and gets five chances to get off hook, not three.

2) Pas de Deux: a former ballet dancer, addy is still incredibly nimble. her vault speed is increased by 25%, 50% when wounded.

3) Get Out: extremely motivated to get back to her children, addy’s speed increases by 15% when fixing the last gen.
