I’m having brain surgery next month and I’m either going to have less seizures, more seizures, or die. But the outcome has a bigger percentage of less seizures than anything else, so that’s nice. Also, I ate an entire jar of peanut butter today. Also, I got married to Adam.

Honestly, after ‘I love you’, everything that Dorian said went in one ear and out the other. He was just glad he wasn’t being ignored anymore. “Okay,” he nodded without really knowing what he was saying it for. “Can I get a kiss now?” he pouted prettily and innocently.

Dorian could tell that Peyton wasn’t entirely listening to him, and that should have annoyed him, but it just made him chuckle and roll his eyes fondly. He knew how much Peyton hated the silent treatment, so Dorian knew all that mattered to Peyton was being forgiven. He nodded and kissed his boyfriend softly.

He sighed, dropping his hands. “You’re worth it. I think you’re very much worth it.” He looked up at Dorian and nervously bit down on his bottom lip. “I can’t lose you again, and I… Dunno, I guess I got a little crazy. I’m sorry…”

Dorian licked his lips absently and sighed softly as well. Now the guilt was setting in. “I love you, you know I do. You just scared me. And frankly, you pissed me off a little. I was more mad at Vance though, because he was sayin’ some off the wall shit that was about to make me lose my badge.” He shook his head. “I’m not goin’ anywhere if you won’t. It’s okay. I’m sorry too.”

Dorian’s resolve was melting a little bit, besides his best efforts. It had been hours and Peyton had resorted to calling him Daddy which he was basically, like, wired to respond to. And the tugging on his hair wasn’t helping either. “You could’ve been seriously hurt,” He whispered, finally speaking. “And it wouldn’t have been worth it.”

Peyton wiggled on Dorian’s lap, whining and letting his fingers curl into the front of his shirt. “Baby, c'mon, what’d I do?” He huffed, moving to straddle Dorian’s lap instead. Maybe some alternative methods would work– so he thought. So he slipped his fingers into Dorian’s hair and began grinding his hips down into his boyfriend’s to try to get his attention.

Dorian scoffed, not answering. Peyton couldn’t possibly be unaware of why Dorian was upset. He just wanted him to speak to him. But it’d been a couple hours since the incident--if you counted the interlude where Peyton went to go smoke up with his friend Archie--and Dorian hadn’t let up yet. He bit his lip as Peyton ground down on him, biting back a groan. He shook his head instead of outright telling Peyton to stop. Peyton was persistent, but Dorian could be just as stubborn.

Peyton pouted, sitting on Dorian’s lap. “Babe…” he whined, poking at Dorian’s chest. He hated getting the silent treatment. He actually hated being ignored– if there was any one word to describe him in relationships, it would probably be “attention-whore” (shh, it’s one word because of the hyphen according to him). So now he was yearning for attention from his boyfriend, but not getting it. Great.

Dorian kept his hands at his sides as Peyton climbed into his lap, looking at him but not saying a word. It’s true that Peyton was hard to resist, but he had really pissed Dorian off. How could he have willingly put himself in danger like that? It wasn’t that he didn’t think Peyton could fight. He probably could. But Vance was the second most volatile person Dorian had ever met. Peyton could’ve gotten seriously injured and for what? Because of some silly pride thing? It was ridiculous and stupid. He looked past Peyton to the TV.
