Will smiled as he lifted her back to her feet quite easily, and then took his hand back, and stepped back a little, feeling awkward that he was crowding her. After all they were complete strangers, heâd probably find it uncomfortable.. in fact he had, when sheâd fallen on his feet just a few seconds before. He looked up, trying to work out which book she meant, spotting one which looked like it had been tugged slightly out of place.âThat one? No, of course, here,â he nodded happily stepping forward and retrieving the book with ease - he didnât even have o stretch. âNo problem,â he smiled, holding it out to her.Â
This was awkward, she had to admit. Falling in somebodyâs feet quite literally was not a very polite, let alone ordinary, thing to do bus she couldnât have helped it. Hopefully, he was not offended or anything, she thought as her eyes followed him as he retrieved her book. She accepted it from him with a small smile and said, âThanksâ, before adding after a moment, âBeing tall is such a perk, honestly. I mean, you didnât even have to stretch to get it and I... well, fell over.â The last bit was followed by a short, good-humored laugh. She didnât really mind being short but made good fun out of it nevertheless.
