Will smiled awkwardly, but it didn’t reach his eyes as he scratched his head. “Well, I mean I did just kind of rip that door off it’s hinges….” he nodded at it, hovering on the edge of revealing just how wrong things really were. “I mean… maybe the hinges were old… guess I don’t know my own strength,” he laughed hollowly, trying to think of some way to help calm the girl down when in truth, he had no idea what was happening to her.
“Hey, come on…. your parents love you, and… well it’s not as though they can exactly blame you for… whatever his is,” he stalled, slightly uncomfortable. He rubbed the back of his head again, biting the inside of his lip. “I know… it’s ok to be scared. There’s got to be something you can do. someone will be able to help,” he suggested - even though he was drawing a blank at who, or how someone might help.
“Sure.” Her own voice sounded more sarcastic than what she would have wanted. “Okay. The guy I met a few days ago can rip doors off in the blink of an eye.” Jazz paused, looking up. “Can things possibly get weirder? Of course they can.” She rambled on her own, trying to drown fear in a flood of words - and failed.
“Anyway, my parents are absolutely not the point.” she cut, her tone progressively lowering. “Thank you. I don’t even know why I’m treating you like this - I don’t know.” Jazlyn whispered.
