Pierce had had a nice swim in the lake and after about an hour he decided to make his way out to dry off. That’s when he saw someone out of the corner of his eye and he smirked. “Are you going to just stand there or are you going to go swimming?”
“Don’t flatter yourself, creep. You’re not my type.” Dottie was looking intently at the human, but it was mostly a contemplative thought; it had been a while since she killed in broad daylight. It would be perfect, but she was reminded by the fact that Margaux was here. “I just came out of the water. It’s lovely for such a hot day.”

“Well, your service was disappointing. But I do like your handwriting, darling.”

“Huh. Thanks, I guess.” Though she wasn’t certain she liked the idea of someone protecting her. Especially an individual of suspect motives. “Spoken like a woman who has never been paranoid. Or never let herself cave to it,” Ellie observed, snorting. “I’d say they’re worth their weight in diamonds, wouldn’t you?”
“There is nothing to be paranoid about, unless you’re afraid that someone’s out to get you.” It wasn’t like Dottie to be afraid anymore; she was the monster that people were afraid of. She didn’t know what it felt like to be afraid of anything anymore. So she smirked at the woman, “Are they? Then I’d be richer than a lot of people in this town.”

“Mother told me never to trust a pretty face, but you do have some expertise in this area. If you want the job, then be my guest.”
Dottie rolled her eyes, looking at the body. “Did you get careless, babe? I mean, hardly like you to put on a show about your killings...”

“Temperamental as some of it’s people” she correctly, “I think most people are likely to become down when the weather turns to shit, mirroring their lives” she said, shrugging, her eyes glancing over the woman as she sat down in the chair she had previously told Annora she was taking. So she was joining her. Great. “Someone thinks very highly of themselves” she smirked, “Annora Fairbourne” she replied.
“Oh, well...if I don’t treat myself like the queen I am, then who will? Certainly not some stranger.” Dottie smirked, crossing her legs as she sat down. “Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Annora. And well...people can use anything to blame their bad lives on.”

“Only for the ones that interrupt me when I am trying to hide a body.”
“Do you trust me enough to leave the job to me? I mean, I do a thing or two about making people...and bodies disappear, so..”

“It doesn’t eat at me, I love my work. It’d just be nice if my breaks didn’t involve me having to defend my entire, you know. Position.” Ellie made a face at the other, shaking her head. “What do you care, anyway? Comedic relief of me trying to play the bad guy?”
“Defending a strong woman from being stoned, for just being a strong woman. Not everyone’s out to get you, you know.” Dottie smirked at Ellie, shrugging. “Besides, what are words worth, anyway?”

She couldn’t help but genuinely laugh at the woman’s comment, it wasn’t often that people spoke so bluntly to her. “Fair enough, I guess I can understand that” she smirked, flipping her hair over her shoulder. “Indeed. Although this is England… and I guess we could blame global warming as well…” she shrugged, cocking her head to one side and pursing her lips. “Do I know you? I feel like I’ve seen you before…”
“Ahh yes, the English weather. Just as temperamental as it’s people, or I suppose it’s the people molding themselves to the weather. You can never tell the difference, really.” Dottie sat herself down on the chair she was meant to take. Misery wanted company, and she was plenty miserable. “Have you now? Faces like mine are hard to miss, so you probably have. Dottie. And you must be...?”

Hazel nodded as she began to climb over the back of her seat, hiding her initial response of alarm. “Well the doors are open now so I suppose we could fit another passenger,” she said as she crawled out of the car. “I’m Hazel,” she said as she extended her hand firmly, “where is it that you need to go?”
“Thank goodness for the simple pleasures, right?” Dottie smiled at the car, and at her. “Just by the main square will be fine. I can walk the way back to my flat. I’m Dottie, and it’s very nice to meet you, Hazel.”

Hazel was immediately on alert. “I think I’ve got it thanks,” she responded as she turned back to the car, not quite turning her whole back to the girl. Quickly Hazel jammed the knife back into the lock and twisted, opening it. “I know how to use this thing thanks,” she said as she waved the pocket knife. This was her way of hoping that the girl knew she could defend herself. She couldn’t help it, she was always ready to fight now, better safe than sorry. With open knife still in hand Hazel turned to the girl, “Are you sticking around because this could get messy,” she pointed the knife towards the car, “I have to crawl over the back seat.
Dottie tutted under her breath, hiding a small smirk with her concern. “I don’t mean any harm, my dear. But I suppose now would be appropriate to ask for a lift back into town. Unless your car is a solo ride instead of...a normal car, I suppose?” She loved the nervousness she could inflict on the little girl; it was like a game, almost. How far would Dottie go though?
