The rice had been bought before.Ā
A moment in time Yami wasnāt able to pin point precisely, but it should have been somewhere during the previous month... Okay, more like months. He did not mind shopping, but shopping for groceries was a completely different thing and he had to rely on what Yugi had bought and on what he himself had bought eons ago just for the sake of trying.Ā
Somebody had to do cook after all, people needed to eat. Alive people, thatās it. Thatās why it was funny that the one behind the stove trying to light on the gas was the spirit of some not better identified Egyptian-someone who had died heaven knows how many millennia before, but Yami did not exactly mind as long as it meant it would be of help. After so much time spent sharing the same roof with Yugi, he had started to notice all the little things that made up the youngerās daily routine and he realized eating was not one of them. When he hugged him, his partner was extremely light, slender almost, and even though he was no chef Yami thought that the best way to resolve the matter was taking care of it by himself. If it was just a matter of laziness or lack of time, then he would try and be the one who cooked instead.Ā
As he stopped for the fourth time with the salt jar right above of the pot, asking himself again what was the correct amount of salt to throw in the water, he thought that maybe buying some cookery book or searching for recipes on the internet before would have been a nice idea.Ā
He finally put a handful of salt in, shrugging as he put the jar away: he could do this, he did not need any fancy book.
