hi! call me 2u / W-- either one works! currently 22 and an aspec, agender lesbian. he/she/it are what i use, but im good with gendered and non-gendered terms of whatever variety.

im a comic enthusiast who writes--often about the comics i like. mostly DC, but with other things thrown into the mix. you can find me and all of my writing on ao3 under the handle/pseud 'tothefiniteyou' (blanket permission and rules on derivative/inspired works can also be found there under profile).

im a full-time student working multiple jobs, so writing is often slow going. expect at least one update/one story per month. no guarantees on what it'll be for, though; i operate on pure spontaneous inspiration and cant keep to a schedule to save my life.

requests are technically open, but forever a struggle with no guarantees of being done. so if you do send something my way, keep this in mind.

all writing can be found under the generic 'my writing' tag. the same goes for my art.

im fairly knowledgeable on everything DC(U), ranging from things like superman to more obscure-ish vertigo titles. however, im more of a passive fan/knower of anything not listed here, so i can't really say much on them--yet. there's a lot ive read outside of this, too, and i'll be updating the list as i go with my favorites/what im most fixated on at the moment of writing.

(please also note that i don't watch any of the marvel/dc tv series. nothing against them, really, i just want to avoid confusion and make it clear that i have no clue what goes on in that realm for these titles.)

outside of comics and writing, im a big fan of gothic rock, metal, (post-) punk, grunge, dark + new wave, and really just music in general. some favorite bands/artists include (but are not limited to): the cure, siouxsie and the banshees, echo & the bunnymen, the sisters of mercy, joy division, korn, bauhaus, gorillaz, cocteau twins, nine inch nails, slipknot, depeche mode, kate bush, fiona apple, and sir chloe. collecting CDs is a passion, and im slowly getting around to vinyls and cassette tapes. you'll see music recommendations from me often here, and i will be annoying about my playlists.

i also looooove horror games, novels, and everything thriller and mystery.

She thinks about her father moving her hand into a fist, moments before his own strikes out against her with the intention to hurt—to teach her how to win.

The walls in the place she was raised had always been full of holes, a halo around her head.

Before her name, the only gifts she had ever known came in the form of weapons and the marks they left.

She thinks about large, calloused hands carefully examining her injuries, pride and more pride being gifted the less serious they became.

Eventually, there were no more. She’d become everything he had ever hoped for her to be.

She thinks about all of this whenever the stars are out. It’d been dark that day, too, when she ran and became something Cain had never intended her to be. A child.

All of this spins in her mind, but she looks back down to Bruce to tell him: “Nothing important.”

another funny thing about this fanon insistence that tim is this unstable villain in the making is that his weapon is the bo. a pacifist's weapon.

regardless of how much thought was put into that, the bo's designed to disarm rather than cause lethal harm to someone. which perfectly aligns with Tim's morals. even in bojutsu, it's meant to be more defensive than offensive in the way it protects yourself and others from harm rather than focusing on doing harm. it subdues.

there's more that connects to some Buddhist teachings of non-violence, but really my point is that tim is Very conscious of the ways in which he *can* hurt someone, and consciously chooses not to. his training taught him to exploit weaknesses and take advantage of situations, but he chose a different way. (both because that's how he is, and a little because he wanted to become someone worthy of inheriting the robin mantle. he very much wanted to be tim drake and no one else, but you can't say his idolization of dick and the ghost of jason didn't influence some of that.)

(i would also like to point out that tim figured out dick's identity because of his nightmares surrounding the day his parents died. death--murder--has been a haunting core memory of tim's for a long time.)

this is the kid that knew batman was going to either get himself killed or cross his own line and immediately put himself in danger to prevent it from happening. he, like bruce, has had family taken away from him right in front of his eyes. he's lost so much to death, why would he ever want to inflict that on someone else?

even the push for him to be this evil sort of hacker isn't right, because i also feel like tim is really big on engineering and inventing, but also because he's so goal-oriented and thinks through consequences that he really uses his computer skills to *help* rather than do something "bad".
