Noticing the slight twitch, he couldn’t help but inwardly chuckle in amusement. It was rare for Tsurugi to break out of his calm demeanour, so seeing him flinch was already a big thing to Hayato. There was a part of him that was irritated by how he could keep such a cool head during a big crisis. He wondered if he could get a bigger reaction from the forward without making it seem like he was doing it on purpose. It was not ‘his personality’ to do something like that, so he doubted Tsurugi would suspect him. Hayato noticed the hint of annoyance on his face, but he turned a blind eye to it and gave him a light smile. “What room did they put you in? Did you end up with anyone you know?”

The main reason why he decided to accept the invitation was because of his brothers. They enjoyed watching him play soccer more than anything else, and they wanted him to become the best of the best. Though, he had to admit he enjoyed playing soccer. It wasn’t surprising to see Tsurugi here. “Everyone in Shinsei Japan were invited to join this school right? I wonder how many of them accepted.” He lightly scratched the back of his head before looking around.

"11.02. I room with Amemiya Taiyou, someone who's played against and with Raimon." He looked at Matatagi a little curiously, wondering if he'd even heard of Amemiya before. Did he know about any of the other famous soccer players Kyousuke's played against? Maybe he did his research... or maybe he really didn't care about soccer enough to look these things up.

At Matatagi's second question, Kyousuke raised an eyebrow slightly as he thought about it himself. So far he'd only seen members from Raimon... but if Matatagi was here, it was definitely possible for other members of Shinsei Japan to be invited too, even if they weren't the best players.

Shindou stopped with Tenma, his junior still hanging on to his arm as he talked. He was definitely glad that Tsurugi would be joining them. Perhaps the three of them would be able to team up like they had when they were in Raimon…?

As Tenma asked if Tsurugi had visited the dorms, a question popped into his own mind.

"That’s right…" he began, using one hand to point to himself and to Tenma as he spoke, "We’re in the same dorm room. 10.01. Which are you staying in?"

Perhaps it was too much to wish for the three of them to be able to room together, but even so, Shindou quietly hoped they would. For the trio to be able to live together at the school would be ideal; the three of them got on well, and it wouldn’t be particularly awkward for them, since they’d spent a lot of time together in the past. However, even if they weren’t, it would be useful to know Tsurugi’s room number to see how far away from each other they would be.

By the tone to Shindou's voice, Kyousuke could tell he was a little hopeful about something, he guessed about the chance of them all rooming together. But 10.01, sadly, was a different number than what Kyousuke had been assigned, and his smile turns almost a little sympathetic as he told his friends the slightly disappointing news.

"You two share a dorm, huh? Sorry to say, your room's a bit away from mine." He shrugs lightly and crosses his arms over his chest.

"I could take you two to your dorm though, if you'd like."

Hayato let out a small annoyed sigh. This was ridiculous. There had to be somewhere he could run without being interrupted, a place not visible to the teachers’ eyes. If he remembered correctly, the curfew was ten o’clock at night. It would be bad if he got in trouble just because he wanted to run during the night. He continued walking while looking at the sky. There was the option of running early in the morning, but it was different from running during the night. There was something refreshing about the night; comforting about the darkness. He enjoyed running in the midst of dimly lit lights, while the moon was brightly shining high in the night sky.

Matatagi continued searching. The school was really well designed if he couldn’t find a blind spot. He stopped in his tracks when he saw a very familiar face. 'Tsurugi?' The forward always had a calm expression on the pitch, and out of the pitch. Was there anything that riled him up? He wondered if he would get a reaction if he suddenly tapped him on the shoulder. He slowly crept up behind him before lightly tapping on his shoulder. A light innocent smile appeared on his face, making it look like he didn’t intentionally creep up on him. “Hey. I’m glad to finally see someone I know.” He had yet to see his captain or his teammates.

Kyousuke was walking casually to the cafeteria, not really paying attention to his surroundings at the time. He certainly didn't hear Matatagi step up behind him, so when his shoulder was tapped, he slightly twitched at the touch and turned around, ready to scold whomever it was behind him, expecting it to be Tenma. But he stopped himself as he noticed it was Matatagi, and it didn't seem as if Matatagi meant to surprise him, so he let out a very small sigh and decided to be polite, though his expression looked a bit annoyed.

"Yeah, it's nice to see you too." He slightly wondered though... why Matatagi was invited to this school and why he actually agreed to go. Sure, he was one of the Shinsei Inazuma Japan members, but no matter if he was enjoying playing or not, he was on that team for a reason other than to play soccer.

Perhaps he was starting to want to play soccer professionally like everyone else..?

"Oh! Tsurugi-kun, how do you like the school so far?" She changed the subject after a moment, "It’s so big I still get lost."

He shrugs slightly at the question.

"It's nice, I guess." It certainly was a lot bigger and nicer than any other school he's been to. Even Raimon's huge school seemed a bit dull compared to this place.

Shindou continued down the path to the dorms, feeling glad that he had Tenma for company. It seemed like the best idea to find their rooms and sort out their bags and belongings, and then perhaps walk around the school a little more to get their bearings; of course, this was a perfect opportunity to talk a little and catch up, too.

He walked a little ahead of Tenma, considering what the best method to get acquainted with the layout of the school would be, when his junior suddenly took hold of his arm and started off at some speed in a different direction.

"Eh? Tenma, what are you—" Shindou objected as he was pulled in a completely different direction to the one he had intended to go in. It was only when he began running properly, still being pulled by Tenma, that he noticed Tsurugi, who apparently still hadn’t noticed them. Now following Tenma fully, he decided to call out to him.

"Tsurugi!"

Just as Kyousuke was beginning to think he wouldn't see anyone else familiar for a while, he heard his name called from two different people behind him. At first he thought maybe he was just hearing things, but he could hear footsteps get closer as well. So, he turned around and his eyebrows raised in slight surprise at seeing two of his teammates running towards him at full speed. As the two stopped in front of him, his expression of surprise was replaced with a pleased smile, and he rested a hand on his hip as he spoke.

"So you two were invited here as well." He couldn't hide the fact that he was relieved to see those two there. After all, they made things a lot more interesting when they were around.

It was a huge relief on Taiyou’s part that Kyousuke didn’t find the question to be too encroaching, and inwardly sighed in relief. But on the subject of his own parents, well… He should have expected to be asked that question in return, really. He puts on a smile as usual, though the subject of family continued to be something he couldn’t talk about with confidence. He sure could try fake it though, and try he does.

"I’m sure they won’t miss me too much!" He chuckled softly. "They’re used to me being left to my own devices." Supervised by someone else more like; and that scenario was something he both liked and hated, but that’s a subject for another time. He wasn’t about to bore Kyousuke with details about his personal life, so he carefully hurried a topic change along.

Kicking back by sitting on his own bed across the way, he looked down at the floor. “I want to play soccer after all. It’s really incredible to think we’re surrounded by people who love the sport… And we can all hone our skills and talents.” He looks up and puts on a more sincere grin this time around. “I’m looking forward to playing with you again, Tsurugi-kun.”

Ah.. so as he thought, his family was used to him be away from them.. it was a little sad to think about, but Kyousuke didn't want to think about it too much... it only reminded him of his own family, of his brother who's been away from home for quite a while as well. So once the topic was changed, he was a bit grateful and put on a small smile of his own.

"Yeah, so do I." Taiyou was an amazing player, Kyousuke had to admit. He only had the chance to play against him once, and he couldn't deny wanting to play him again after that thrilling match against Arakumo.

"Hey, Tsurugi-kun!" Her smile got brighter at seeing a familiar face, "Well, I was, but then I was able to go here!" A small shrug, "It’s nice to see you again."

So she was invited here, too? Even though she was from a different time period.... well, Kyousuke's been through a lot weirder before, something like this isn't really something he should get too surprised about.

He places his hands in his pant pockets then, and offers a very small smile.

"Yeah."

Hearing someone speak in his direction, Kyousuke turned around to reply, though he froze for a moment, surprised to see Kinako of all people standing in front of him.

"...Nanobana?" Aren't you.. supposed to be in the future...?

Kyousuke's been in this new school for a day already, and he's only met one other student here so far; His roommate. He spent his first day unpacking and wandering around to find classrooms, but the area was quite big.. it was going to take him a while to get used to it...

Which is what he decides to do today. With a small map of the school in hand, he wanders around the school a few times, trying his hardest to memorize the directions. And he was also hoping to bump into a few of the other students here, as well.... at least to get an idea of what kinds of people have been invited to this place besides him.

Taiyou placed his hands on his hips and laughed a bit. “It’s pretty amazing, yeah.” And only natural that players, skilled and newbies alike, would become interested and apply to the school. Then even renowned athletes could be scouted and invited. The campus was nice, albeit as of the moment of speaking it still wasn’t very populated. It would only grow from here though! And who knows how many more individuals would pop up: both those they have encountered before once upon a time and those they have not.

He raised a hand to his chin, wondering aloud. “So… you don’t mind being away from your family for a while?”

—Wait, that question was a bit thoughtless or rude, wasn’t it? Not everyone was like his own case where he was used to being away from his parents for extended periods. And he also didn’t have siblings of his own…

Taiyou could feel a bit of sweat run down the back of his neck and wished he could take that question back, but… How can he fix this…

"No, no forget it. That was intrusive, sorry Tsurugi-kun."

Obviously the smoothest roommate you will ever have. Not even ten minutes into meeting again and things are already awkward.

At the question the other boy asked, Kyousuke stared out the window for a few moments as he thought it over. Did he mind being away from his family? Of course he did, wouldn't anyone? Though he supposed Taiyou, being hospital ridden for such a long time didn't mind it himself... assuming things like that was pretty rude, wasn't it? Either way, he sure didn't seem too worried about being away from home....

He was about to reply, saying something about it not really mattering, until Taiyou apologized. Sure, Kyousuke agreed the question was a bit personal, but he didn't mind it too much. He's sure Taiyou was genuinely curious, anyway, with no ill meanings behind it. So he decides sure, he'll give Taiyou a straight answer.

He quietly sits down on the bed he claimed, placing his hands in his jacket pockets nonchalantly. "...I don't mind it as much, being away from home. I came here out of my own will, anyway, I'm prepared to spend as much time here as I need to." He looks up at Taiyou then, hesitating for a moment before speaking again.

."...I'm guessing you're fine with being away from your family for a while, too."

Taiyou’s eyes widened at the familiar face and he scratched the back of his head sheepishly, embarrassed now that he had greeted an old friend who was more on the silent end with such fervor. They were more-or-less the same age, but he knew he had to respect that Kyousuke wasn’t openly affectionate as a person. He wasn’t even completely sure about how well the other liked him, as they usually just related on basis of mutual friends such as Tenma and Shinsuke, though they certainly had enough chemistry as teammates on the field. “—Tsurugi-kun! What a pleasant surprise.”

But…? Wasn’t this their chance to get closer as well? Things have to be looked at positively! Surely now his own doubts could be cleared and he would no longer be intimidated by Raimon’s ace striker. It may not be immediate, but they could and would be good friends too…!? And the first step to that would be to keep the ball rolling in regards to conversation. "So are you the one moving in with me?" Judging from how certain the taller boy looked with directions at his place in front of the door and the suitcase beside him, of course that was the logical conclusion. Taiyou only really said it to be polite though. He takes a step aside and gestures an open arm. "Come in come in."

"Yeah." He walks inside, dragging his suitcase along with him. Taiyou seemed almost nervous about Kyousuke rooming with him... he wondered why? Perhaps it was because the two didn't interact much before, despite being on the same team for a while... he almost felt a little guilty for that. It wasn't as if he didn't like the other boy, he just wasn't an outgoing person...Ah well, either way, the two were forced to be sharing a room now so they might as well try to get along better...

Kyousuke sets his suitcase next to one of the unused beds and looks around the room idly, checking out the interior.

"...it's interesting, isn't it? A school made specifically for soccer players." Though with the popularity of soccer ever growing, he couldn't say he was surprised something like this would show up. There were already places you could go to study up on soccer and become a better player, anyway...

A new roommate was coming in today, huh. Taiyou hadn’t even had the time to settle in too much into his dorm residence by himself, and now he was informed he was going to share! Not that it was a problem, no. He was in quiet but still poorly hidden anticipation, seated in his room. He was going to study, but who could do that when he’d have the opportunity to make a new friend? As social as he was, Taiyou, in circumstances beyond his control, usually was a solitary creature.

Seated, he flipped his notebook somewhat absently, as his mind was still on the expected company.

Akin to a puppy waiting for its master to come home, he jerks up his head when he hears faint footsteps slowly but surely becoming more audible…! What should he say? How should he introduce himself? He won’t scare him off by being too chummy, will he?

He scrambled to his feet.

Even before the other could open the door himself, late at grabbing the doorknob by maybe just a few seconds, the door swings open from the inside. "Welcome!"

A school just for soccer, huh? Of course Kyousuke couldn't miss the chance to attend such a school, especially when he overheard a few of his teammates express their excitement about going themselves. He had even discussed it with his older brother, who excitedly pushed him towards the final decision of going. It couldn't be too bad, right?

The day to arrive had come, and he packed what was necessary in a neat suitcase. This wouldn't be the first time he spent a long amount of time away from home, but this was the first time attending something like a boarding school... who knows how long he'd be away this time? It admittedly made him a bit nervous to think about, but he shook any anxious thoughts away as he stepped inside of the school. He was here already, there was no turning back now.

As he approached his dorm, he began to get curious about who he was rooming with. Was it going to be someone familiar? Someone completely new? Were they going to be loud and outgoing or quiet and keep to themselves? He didn't really mind who it was, he'd get along with them one way or another. Being around Tenma and the rest made him used to all kinds of personalities, even people who would try to get Kyousuke to do things with them wouldn't bother him now. Though he would rather his roommate at least know personal boundaries....Well, anyway, his room was just around the corner, it was time to find out just who was behind that door--

Although, as soon as he reached the door, it flung open before he could even have a chance to reach for the doorknob. He stood there for a moment, a little surprised, but quickly he regained his posture and looked his roommate over.

"...Amemiya?" He didn't expect to see one of his former teammates here... but he couldn't say he was entirely disappointed. In fact, he was just a tad relieved to be rooming with someone he knew rather than a total stranger.
