Wander, get the lay of the land, get some semblance of an idea what the hell was going on here, and don't think about it too hard. Roberto was pretty damn good at all of those but was having a bit of a hard time on the last one. The problem was that there was far too much to think about and most of his questions he wasn't going to find immediate answers to.
Well, there was a lot of mumbo-jumbo about 'stars' and 'powers' but that kind of shit was way out of his pay grade. The crazy doctor's bullshit about saving humanity was already out of his pay grade before his little monster of a test subject stuck a ridiculously oversized nail through his gut.
At least Roberto was pretty good at appearing like he belonged, slumping along like an everyday citizen of this madhouse city.
Damn thing dwarfed JuLai twice over. How many Plants did it take to keep a city this large running? To say nothing about the flora spilling out absolutely everywhere.
Then again, it was easy to determine he wasn't even on Noman's Land anymore. There was only one sun here after all. Maybe they didn't need Plants. Insantiy.
He's distracted by his thoughts and mentall mapping his steps and he almost, almost, walks right by the tall, pale stranger with long grey hair.
Almost.
At the last second Roberto lifts his head and locks his attention on the man, green eyes not nearly as sleepy as they seem.
"You. I remember you. From the sandsteamer to JuLai. Wolfwood called you Livio, right?"
Granted, the last time Roberto had seen the man he'd been screaming bloody murder, pointing his gun at everyone before putting a bullet in his own head and vanishing over the side. Roberto probably shouldn't even engage but, well, being dead meant he didn't have to bother keeping his own skin intact anymore, right? If you've died once, what's one more?
He might be a little morbidly curious about the connection between their Undertaker and this fellow. Hard to assume there wasn't one when he'd heard Wolfwood scream.
@doublefanged
"You. I remember you."
Those aren't words Livio expects to hear wandering down the street, nor are they ones he wants to hear. There's only a handful of people who might remember him for good reasons, and none of them would have met him on a sandsteamer. Especially, not during the moment the older man is so clearly referencing.
There's something familiar about the grizzled face, but there's a lot from the fight on the sandsteamer that's still pretty fuzzy. Combat was always one of those areas that never quite stuck right in his mind.
"Ah… Yes, that would be me," Livio confirms, nervously clasping his hands behind his back. He subtly glances around to make sure he's aware of any quick exits, but he'll at least do the kindness of not running immediately. "Can I… help you with something?"
