Bon Iver - 33 "GOD"
“I'd be happy as hell, if you stayed for tea...”
Peter Gabriel - Heroes.
Peter Gabriel covering David Bowie: yes, it’s as ruddy marvellous as you would expect.
Plus, if you are yet to watch Stranger Things (firstly get your head out of the sand), you simply have to watch it. This song features in one of the episodes, and it is one of the most awe-inspiring moments in TV I have seen this year.
Bon Iver - 22 (OVER S∞∞N).
Bon Iver are back, and their sound is great.
Bear’s Den - Sophie.
Future Islands - Seasons (Waiting On You).
“Seasons change, And I tried hard just to soften you Seasons change, But I've grown tired of trying to change for you”
Radiohead - Daydreaming.
Radiohead’s album is out this Sunday at 7pm (GMT). Get excited, because this track is magical: It’s melancholic, it’s bittersweet, it’s pensive. I’m really enjoying the moody strings that are on this track, and were all over Burn The Witch.
Yes, it’s been 5 long years, but “this is really happening, happening...”
Oh, and for good measure the music video was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, and predictably, it’s wonderful.
James Blake - I Need A Forest Fire.
James Blake’s new album is out TONIGHT. *THIS IS NOT A DRILL*
Get excited because this track with Justin Vernon (AKA Bon Iver) is stunning.
Radiohead - Burn The Witch
*BANGER ALERT*
Stop what you are doing and listen: Radiohead have just released a new song, and it’s phenomenal.
Bombay Bicycle Club - You Already Know
“The moment we forgot we were just good friends
I moved my arm
her face went red again...”
The Apache Relay - Katie Queen of Tennessee
“If you see me runnin' Through the streets I'm calling Into love I'm falling Katie be my darlin'”
Chance the Rapper - Angels (Feat. Saba)
Chance recently met Barack Obama about the "My Brother's Keeper" initiative which is designed to create support programs to help young men of colour fight the imbalances created by racial injustice.
Listening to his new song you can just feel his positive attitude:
“I got my city doing front flips When every father, mayor, rapper jump ship I guess that's why they call it where I stay Clean up the streets so my daughter can have somewhere to play”
Chance is from Southside Chicago, and that’s where he is going to stay, working to make thing better...
Blood Orange - You’re Not Good Enough
“I never was in love
You know that you were never good enough
Fall asleep right next to me
You know that you were never good enough”
Beirut - Santa Fe
Honne - All In The Value
“I want you to really want me too
Cause it’s all in the value
I need you to really need me too
Cause it’s all in the value”
Vanessa Paradis - Mi Amor.
“Dis-moi que tu m’aimes...”
French pop music at its finest: Disgustingly catchy.
Hozier - From Eden.
“Babe
There's something lonesome about you
Something so wholesome about you
Get closer to me”
