happy mercury direct at last y'all! this has been an intense one. just remember that mercury is still in its shadow zone for a couple weeks and even after that, we have uranus in gemini for a long time to come. some residual, almost permanent mercury rx vibes are just the way it is now. but the intensity begins to wear off now.

I found this petit point brooch at the thrift store and it's not my style at all, but the hand embroidery is so teeny tiny that for just $3 CAD it was too interesting a crumb of textile history to pass up. The stitches are less than a millimetre!
No idea how old it is. The embroidery is done on a stiff layer of netting which is laid over top of a plain white fabric, and it says "made Austria" on the back.

It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out!
This piece is SOLD but I’ve heard the enthusiasm and will be making more for Anthrocon! I’m also open to custom orders for similar pieces.

I made another earl grey cake with lavender buttercream mixed with a little bit of white chocolate Ganache. I sprinkled orange zest on top of the cake because I forgot to mix it with the buttercream!
This time I added a tea infused chocolate mousse layer but I didn't expect it to soften up as much as it did in the fridge (I stored it in the freezer after making it, like a week before assembling the cake.) So after cutting the first slice, I put the cake back into the fridge and went to talk to my sister and my mom came in to tell me the cake layers were literally sliding off in the fridge 😂. It is now in a bowl, in deconstructed form, unlike in the first photo lol.
