How many of you guys would be interested in doing a hatoful fan comic anthology with me? Either as a contributor or as something you’d like to buy? It wouldn’t be something anyone would be making money from- most of the cost would go straight to printing and shipping, and whatever is left I’m thinking we’d donate to Moa. What do you guys think? Don’t be shy and please let me know!

So it looks to me as though this page of the chapter 10 manga shows us how large the birds are in comparison to human forms? Where Anghel and Okosan are jumping through the window together. Looks like about the size of a wild turkey… Definitely bigger than a normal pigeon!

I agree :3  I think the birds are pretty big.  Besides, wouldn't they have to be bigger in order to be that much more intelligent?  Otherwise, the growing brain would squash out other parts of their little heads that they need for things.  It's not just empty space, y'know.

Regarding Attitudes in the Quail Boyfriends Fandom

I’ve noticed a bit of an unsettling trend within the Hato fandom recently, and it looks like I’m not the only person who’s found it kind of alarming, so because of that I thought I would try to write an analysis of why people might be seeing an issue. Unfortunately, it has to do with the way a large chunk of the quail boyfriends fandom portray their ship (read: NOT everyone, maybe not even the majority, but it’s definitely a prominent amount of people).

I think a lot of quail boyfriends fans could benefit from taking a step back and looking a little more closely at their own interpretations so let’s try and break this down in its most basic form: a lot of quail boyfriends fans have wildly misconstructed the relationship between Hitori and Kazuaki (referred to as Ousama in this post for clarification’s sake) to the point of being harmful and kind of offensive.

Thank you, estelle campanella.  I definitely agree.  I suffer depression and anxiety disorder, and manic depression,  so I tend to avoid the quails because it brings up painful memories for me :\   It wasn't tragic and beautiful or romantic at all.  It's ugly suffering and illness, and I think...perhaps people might actually be trivializing the seriousness of these (albeit fictional) quails' feelings and situations, in an attempt to sympathize with them.
