Provenance: given to Captain Seymour by the Prince Regent, April 25th 1818
The sword has a gilt brass hilt with a stirrup guard with a Royal monogrammed crown over “GR”. The wooden grip is covered with brown leather bound with copper and silver wire, engraved line decoration. The back-edged steel blade is etched in relief and gilt on matted ground Trophy of Russian arms.
