hi! i was wondering how you take all your pics for your sims all this time ^^ cause i want to start posting my sim too and do lookbooks, but i couldn't find any helpful tutorial. how do you actually take pics and do cute poses? i'll wait for ur response, thank youuu !!
hiii!!! warning, long post incoming! here are some helpful tips for taking pics in the sims ✩
1. if you're playing on windows, SRWE is your best friend! it allows you to resize the app's window which increases the quality of a picture. here are some examples (it's clear to see if you zoom in):
when running SRWE you have to select the running application, which in this case is the sims 4, then set the desired resolution. here are some profiles i have saved, you can go higher or lower depending on your specs. some deviced don't handle high resolutions well and can make the game crash. i usually don't go lower than 2000x2000.
2. gshade / reshade (another software for windows) will help you create a beautiful atmosphere that will elevate your screenshots with various presets ^^
- gshade install tutorial - reshade install tutorial some of my favorite gshade presets: - arcadia by pearlean - artaud by gunthermunch - peach by semalice - senshi 4.0 by simsenshi (if you'd like to use gshade any reshade preset is convertable to gshade, you can do it in the tools tab)
you can always search for presets on pinterest or tumblr! just type the sims 4 reshade/gshade preset and you'll find some that you'll like :)
3. relight is a GAMECHANGER.
you can download it here! there's also an upgraded version here, just choose which one you like more! here's a small comparison with and without relight:
if you don't like the gshade/reshade version of relight, there's a website where you can add relight to your photos. it's called clipdrop. the only con is that you'll have to downscale your photo if you don't have premium, but it's always an alternative :)

4. cas poses
downloading cas poses is a great way to take cute screenshots of your sims in cas. my favourtie creator for cas and in game poses is hongzo! they have a lot of female and male ones for traits people usually don't use for trait poses. other talented pose creators: - wooie - starrysimsie - ninawhims - mel bennett - helgatisha - roselipa - 00ni - hiyut - ssiat - acha_sims - bluefeelingblue another trick i like to use when posing in cas is typing the casclockspeed 0/1 cheat! for that you need to open up cheat console ( shift + ctrl + c) and type casclockspeed 0 to freeze your sim. before that, i look through trait poses i have and when i find what i want, i just type the cod (you can copy the cheat before so you don't miss the pose you were looking for). if you want the pose to stop and your sim to go back to normal, just type casclockspeed 1 in the console.
5. in game posing
there are a couple of mods for in game posing, andrew's pose player, teleport any sim, pose alignment interactions and even wicked whims allow you to pose your sims and place them in certain spots :) wicked whims won't allow you to pose infants-children since it's a NSFW mod, but andrew's pose player will! teleport any sim and pose alignment interactions essentially serve the same purpose.
