Nine gorgeously detailed movie posters by artist “Ghoulish” Gary Pullin.
A horror fan since he could slide a tape into a VCR, “Ghoulish” Gary Pullin has grown into a monster-making machine. As Rue Morgue magazine’s original art director, the London, Ontario-born artist created the famous look of the publication, which currently hosts his art column, The Fright Gallery. Now a full time creature creator, his colourful signature style has graced numerous magazines, books and movie posters. He’s had his work featured in galleries across North America, created highly sought-after screen-prints for the likes of Mondo and Skuzzles and created key art for various films, including “Grabbers” and “Birth of the Living Dead”. Both Gary and his art will be seen in the upcoming documentaries “Twenty-Four by Thirty-Six” and “Why Horror”?

Within the Woods
Much of the same processes in use here that I have been playing with on and off with my work from a few months ago re: distressing tape and altering playback through physical disruption. Makes me want to renew my efforts as well and go at it a bit harder.
Also, very excited for this title to come out later in the year, being a lifelong Alien nut.
SAUDADE
A unique Portuguese word that has no immediate translation in English. Saudade describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. (via wasbella102)
Two YEARS AT SEA Using old 16mm cameras, artist Ben Rivers creates work from stories of real people, often those who have disconnected from the normal world …
This is without doubt a must watch when i have the time!!
Martin Creed - Nothing
Just had a quick stopnchat with Angela Tait and she told me about her ceramic pinhole camera project, and then introduced me to her website. The cameras themselves look lovely but the images too should be really exciting, looking forward to seeing how this comes out. She told me the film is absurdly expensive (£70 including import fees from America for 40 prints worth), so fingers crossed it comes out well, too.

Paper installation by Lauren Fensterstock
1980s concept art for televisions and VCRs. (No idea what the 4th picture could be. Cassette player/TV?)
Great stuff
