I submitted my last essay of my 2nd year at university today! I’m someone who is very happy doing nothing all day so I’m not going to lie I’m super excited to just relax and watch as much TV as possible. I’ve made a list of all the things I might do during the summer, but for now I’m glad to be able to chill out without having an assignment looming.

It’s okay to be a beginner at the things you are interested in. There is no reason to feel intimidated by people more advanced than you are, because they too were in your place at one point. Keep learning and growing and expanding in whatever it is that you love and let nothing and no one stop you. You don’t have to be at the same stage as someone else. You can just be at your stage and that one is okay too.

Women are conditioned since we are young that our final stage of fulfillment comes from finding love. We could be 25, successful and self-made, but at the end of the day people won’t see us as someone who made it so far in just 25 years, but how someone lived 25 years without finding a man. To every single woman out there who is working hard and grinding to achieve their goals- your success is valid. You as a woman are valid. And I pray there is only more and more success written for you in everything you pursue.

i cannot stress this enough, young ladies. 

find a slightly older female friend. like… two to ten years older than you. they will save your life, they will teach you so much, they will give you such great life lessons. they are so vital and helpful and important.

[15th May 2020] This is my new desk area - as soon as I moved back home from university I knew that I needed to redecorate before I could fathom sitting at my desk, especially because I would be spending most of my days here trying to still get on with readings and assignments.

I haven’t used this tumblr for a few years, but I’ve found it so nice to scroll through my timeline to try and motivate myself to write my essays (kinda hard during a global pandemic) so thought I would start posting again!
