@dr-carson-jenkins
“Alright, so you want to tell me what’s wrong? Is it pain, nausea, etc...? Or were you just here for a check-up?”
dr-carson-jenkins:
“No, no, just try it like this.” Carson smiled down at the child who was whimpering with nerves as he demonstrated an easier and more effective way to start an IV, “It’s all about feeling the vein. Visualize it in your head. And, don’t feel bad – we all had to learn once.”
Aly’s hands were shaking a little, it was her first time starting an IV completely by herself and she was a little nervous. She was glad for the guidance from a doctor, apologising profusely to the patient she took on his notes and managed to do the IV smoothly in the end. “Thank you, I didn’t think my nerves would take over like that but I did it. Hopefully it gets a little easier from here”
Carson nodded, watching each step, providing words of comfort to the child as well, knowing that it was never comfortable being poked. He smiled when he saw the IV flash blood, “Great! Alright, just put the tape over it and sign your initials with the date.” He added, patting the girl on the back, “It’s never easy -- especially since they’re kids. We feel guilty, but the more you do it, the better you’ll get, the less it’ll hurt them.”
“Hey, hey, I was trying talk to you?”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, sorry, buddy, I just.. I’ve been covered in paperwork. Apparently, my doctors haven’t been filing at the end of the night. But, if you don’t mind repeating yourself, I’ll gladly listen.”
“What do you mean I need to wait another 3 months? Why do I have to wait that long?
“Because, unfortunately, the bones haven’t set properly, and you need to rest off it for longer. Unless you want the entire thing to shatter. But, if you want a cooler cast, I can certainly make you a new one.”
“Look, I know it hurts but I’m just trying to help. Trust me I’m fully trained, I know how to do this”

Carson Jenkins is the Head Doctor at Serenity House. He is 39 years old, and he looks a lot like Shemar Moore.
Maybe they’re hiding
Carson Jenkins was a fortunate child. He grew up surrounded by money and everything he could have ever dreamed of. His parents were very successful business partners, but this still left Carson home alone quite often, as he wasn’t able to attend all of their international business meetings because of school and other commitments. Because of this, Carson grew up very independent, learning from a young age how to care for himself when his parents couldn’t be around. He often spent time with his elderly grandmother, who suffered from Bipolar Disorder.
We hope they are playing a game
His grandmother unfortunately took her own life when she was 65, the delusions of her disease finally winning. Carson was left without the woman who helped raise him, but instead of letting this crush his spirit; he used it to fuel his fire. He went to medical school, worked tirelessly through his internship and residency, until the day he finally became an attending. He cherished his work, never marrying so he could devote himself completely to his job. He could never get into psychology, merely because of his grandmother’s condition, but he enjoys being around the sick. He gets to help them laugh even through terminal disorders, and it brings him a sense of comfort.
But this is really happening
Carson was hired on the spot at the Serenity House, straight out of his residency. He worked his way up the food chain, until the very day they named him to be the head doctor, a very proud moment in his life. He refuses to sit behind a desk, though, and you can find him still treating patients in the medical ward. He had a quirky sense of humor that makes the kids adore his care. He typically is the last of the staff to leave at night, because of all the paperwork he has to do after he finishes his patient care work.

Unfortunately, Carson is TAKEN!.
