Post Halloween Update!

We've been hard at work with the many different aspects of this project and have already made a quite a bit of progress!

I love the character designs so far, and I really love how many of them use their talents to make others happy. :) I can tell I’ll grow to love the cast.... only to watch them die off one by one.... AHEM anyway, do you have a time frame for when Getaway will be released? I’d love to be able to look out for the full game :D

Although the story is actually fully written (we're going over it and making lots of improvements), we have no concrete release date as of yet. Myself and a lot of the artists have been really busy with work/school as of late which has slowned down progress a bit. Things like this take time and I want to make sure we make it the best it can be. Rest assured we are doing as much as possible! Sprites and stuff will be posted here over the next while to keep things going!

Also I shoud mention that DRDD is a video series and not a playable fangame.

Some of you may have noticed that Katashi looked a little different in the prediction sheet (and our new header) from what was shown before. This is because we decided to give him a complete redesign!

With all the reveals out of the way, what do you all think of our cast? We also have a prediction chart ready to be filled out! Let's see how accurate you all can be!

Our final character reveal is the Ultimate Toy Maker, Rudolph Nekowitz. Despite being the tallest member of the group, Rudolph only wants to see everyone happy. He loves giving toys he makes to children just to see their smiling faces.

Maya Valentine, despite the terrifying aura she may give off, is a high spirited and jolly girl who spends time talking Sampson, a spirit of her cousin that only she can see. She may not be as bright as everyone else, but her positive attitude is what shines brightest. Will this positivity be enough to encourage everyone to go against this murder game?

The Ultimate Entertainer, Marcel Glasgow, has only one goal, to make everyone happy. He speaks in riddles and tells bad puns all the time, though he has a habit of laughing, even at the worst situations. Despite this, he seeks to bring happiness to the rest of the members of the killing game through whatever means possible.

Being the Ultimate Web Designer, Emilia Rosaline spends most of her time designing websites and watching television rather than interacting with others. Emilia can be anti-social and doesn't show her emotions around people she doesn't trust. Will Emilia's secluded lifestyle allow her to succeed in the killing game?

just wondering, how many people do you guys have working on this ? it seems really cool honestly and all the characters seem cool too

We have three main writers who did the entire story, six artists for sprites, backgrounds, cutscenes and the like, and a editor for the videos when those come up! I'd also love to add a composer for doing custom songs or remixes like other fangans have.

Okay i love this a LOT Also, can I ask the inspiration for the Ultimate Lawyer because her outfit is so familiar and im in love with it

Haruka Takahashi was actually based on an old Ace Attorney OC I made named Lauren Order. This is why her design is inspired by multiple characters from that series like Edgeworth (the cravat and hair color), Apollo (her vest) and Franziska (the gloves).

Despite his rather small size in comparison to everyone else, Roland is the top of his class of combat in the Renaissance Army and often tells stories of his time there. Even though he is the Ultimate Knight, he never uses his sword for "misdeeds".

Buck Harrington reminds me of the Onceler from the Lorax.

Satomi Toru, the Ultimate Journalist, will stop at nothing to get a scoop. Her reports have been featured in newspapers, magazines, and websites, across the world. While she has experience reporting on many dangerous situations across her career, the killing game is unlike anything Satomi has covered before.

Yuri Ishii is a world class blacksmith that dedicates his life to forging weapons of the finest calibur. Despite making them, he swore to never use any other weapons besides the hammer he uses for smithing. Regardless, he still wants to help the group escape the clutches of the killing game.
