smiles-and-nodsâ:
âWow, thank you. Another hour or so out there and my fingers woulda turned into icicles. I donât mean to take advantage of your hospitality, but I appreciate it.â
With itâs dwellerâs permission, Ledden adjusts his coat and removes his hat as he slithers his way in. Oh, thatâs warmâŚÂ
He knew what he was getting into when he began climbing the mountain. Following up reports of a lone trainer up on the ridge side and rumours that they were a very talented dragon tamer, he decided to scout the area out for⌠work. In hindsight heâd admit that his youthful pride under-prepared him, but the short of breath, aching limbs and shivering frame would serve as wonderful tools in the mask he was to pull up. Nothing more convincing than the unavoidable physical relief when warming by the fire.Â
To be honest, he was grateful he found the hut when he didâŚ
âUhm⌠where would you have me put my stuff?â he nervously presents the coat and the hat in each hand. âAnd forgive my asking⌠that wonderful smell wouldnât happen to be food, would itâŚ? Oh, forgive my rambling, itâs been a long journey. Is it okay if I get closer to the fireâŚ?â
â Oh, um, â she motions to a small kitchen table surrounded by a handful of chairs.  â You can just leave your things there. â Had turned away at that point, returning to a burning stove top with a large pot over one of the burners. Heâs lucky she tends to make big batches, she thinks -- if not for somebody absolutely starving stepping through her door, then for her Pokemon, and to keep for herself with the coming days. Especially if she anticipated a blizzard. â Itâs stew -- Iâll fill a bowl for you.â
She watches him from the corner of her eye, though it may have seemed like she was more focused on making sure her dinner was just right.  â Go ahead -- just watch out for Markus. â Sure enough, curled up on a cushion close to the fire was a fairly fluffy Perrserker, horns protruding, back arching as he breathed slowly in his sleep.
â Were you looking for me? â Klara stirs her stew as she asks. Sheâs no stranger to the rumors that travel with the wind, and well, though she prefers the solitude most of the time, itâs no surprise when she receives visitors. Most of them donât spend much time with a visit anyway, depending on if trainersâ Pokemon are capable of learning what she can teach . . . but he hadnât mentioned it yet. Usually theyâll ask if she really does what sheâs said she could, directly off the bat. Klara could almost feel a gathering storm.
Heavy Storm by First Aid Kit except youâre out camping with your friends in backwoods Appalachia. One of you has a pocket radio out while you sit around the fire.

â What are you doing here? â That could have been worded better, she thinks -- but itâs whatâs on her mind. So close to home, Klara rarely comes across anybody who isnât a young kid on their way to the League, let alone a League Member herself. Oh yes, sheâd read all about Cora in the local paper she gets. Itâs only fair for her to assume at this point that sheâs looking for something thatâs amiss; and well, Klara likes to think that she lives a quiet enough life to where trouble should be the very last thing finding its way in.
Canât shake the way her hands start to shake; they usually do so under pressure, old scars aching beneath her gloves. She folds her arms to hide it. â Whatâs wrong? â

â She doesnât seem to like any other kind of berry . . . â Klara hated to sound like one of those trainers, but the whole situation seemed to be hindering her training, and she was running out of ideas. Berries just donât grow where she lives, and itâs tough for her to keep Astridâs focus when itâs all she wants to focus on. Retraining her train of thought was obviously going to take some time, so she supposed the best market place in Agron would be the best place for her to start.
The woman seemed to have quite a variety of berries, ripe and ready to be sold. But she was looking for Aspear Berries, and loads of them.  â How many have you got? â

Another cold afternoon, though it always seems to pull closer into night at the base of the Icelandite Mountains -- but sheâs preferred it cold and dark lately anyway. Klara always expects a knock at her door, with all sorts of trainers passing her cabin throughout the day and even in the night. It comes as no surprise when she hears that familiar rattling, and the woman moves to throw a couple of more logs into her fireplace before moving to answer the door.
â Hello. â If anything, Klara is best at judging character, judging heart. And first impressions are nothing. Sevipers and Buneary alike have walked through her home.  â I have a fire going. Come in from the cold. â
đ˛ @smiles-and-nodsâ
â Youâve been to Galar, too. â Sheâs only assuming, but itâs safe to. Klara isnât sure if her sudden appearance startled him, having quite literally crept through the woodwork and found him training there. The very outskirts of Norite City were typically pretty quiet, especially when approaching the mountains; but sheâd been watching for a little while now, not only recognizing him as an Ice-type trainer, but as the Gym Leader as well. Sheâd read enough papers about him.
Her Dreepy, calmly curled up and snoozing across her shoulders, was just one sign that she had spent some of her time in the distant land.  â And . . . you have a very strong bond with your team. I admire that. â
đ˛ @frostyfrostenâ
you know what to do! hit that heart for a starter from a dragon tamer who essentially lives like a feral loner in the woodsÂ
