Edmund was capable of staying silent for extended periods of time but faced with the other being completely silent after he had done something wrong ( he couldn’t recall doing anything wrong, though ), he was growing impatient. ❛ Are you goin’ to keep ignoring me?? If you are, I think I’ll be heading out now. ❜

A familiar satisfaction was washing through his system. Edmund was tidy with everything, whether it be hunting, or feeding, scheming or doing simple things in lives. His gaze was on the male that he had caught not long before & his thoughts on where he could dump their body. He hadn’t meant to kill them, really. Sometimes they were just too weak to hold on & Edmund wasn’t somebody dependable to turn another person. An army of hungry newborns was the last thing that he wanted to produce -- if it was even possible to make that many. ❛ Terrible, ❜ he said, speaking when the door had opened. He looked towards the other and shrugged a shoulder a little bit, ❛ how weak they’ve gotten since the advance in medicines. It’s terrible. ❜

they were both on league with each other in so many ways. she considered him her equal. they were both immortal beings. though she was incapable of dying again. angels couldn’t perish. at least not in the way a human, or even a vampire could. she had revealed herself to him when his flesh was no longer that of a human, but a vampire. she had given up on the rules & regulations the elder angels had set in store & she was certain that someday something would be done about it, but for now she was happily going to pretend as though they were normal human’s. & that there was nothing more to it. ❛because we need them. to clean the house & also to keep you alive.❜ she insisted, ❛& if you stop whinning right now it is you that will get a treat. my blood.❜ she teased into his ear. she let him feed off of her only on rare occasions. the blood of an angel was so pure & untarnished that to a vampire it was like a drug. intoxicating & all-consuming. a small drop could sustain them for days.
A whine was at the tip of his tongue; he didn’t need much to live. He fed off of humans regularly, though he never sucked them dry. Something about morals had been drilled into his mind & he didn’t fancy being hunted down again. At the offering of her blood, he turned ever so slightly to look at her, just to make sure that she was serious. She appeared to be, so he nodded his head slightly and bit on his bottom lip. A tangy taste started to prickle through his mouth at the thought of the blood. Angel blood, ( he was right to assume all ), was the best that anybody could drink. Before he had tasted the purity of it, he had always gone after certain human blood types. ❛ You promise?? ❜ It seemed a silly thing to have said if she wasn’t going to let him. Especially now that it had been mentioned he wanted it. The bite hurt, he knew that much, & couldn’t help but wonder if that’s why she often shied away from his suggestion of feeding off of her instead of going out. ❛ I suppose I should make an effort to get you a present, then. ❜

His gaze dropped to the ground when he got the short tempter side of Edmund. He didn’t mean to take forever and he wish that he knew that but he didn’t and it hurt a lot when he decided to rip him a new one for that. He sighed as he started walking to a shaded place before crossing his arms. He had his own temper to the point that he got mad when he decided to make it his fault.
“Well, fuck you then. I said I was sorry.”
It didn’t surprise him in the slightest. Edmund was used to people being angry at him and found the slightest amusement in it. “You bringing out the big boy words now?” His tone was teasing, but it wasn’t testing. He simply looked towards Theo and shook his head a little before a tiny smile broke out, “don’t take it to heart. I told you. I hate the sun and we’ve been out here for hours.” Edmund followed. His eyes were still squinted and he avoided even looking towards the areas that had no shade.

she knew his lies when she heard them. or at least his desperation. she had spent every moment with him since his birth. she knew him as well as she knew herself & his lies might have worked on others, but they would never work on her. ❛you won’t die out here edmund. it is my job to protect you. i would never let true harm come to you.❜ she admitted softly, taking his hand in her own, but she took pity on him, feeling how heated & uncomfortable his skin was because of the sunlight outside. so she decided she was finished shopping regardless, & began to guide them towards the checkout. ❛i don’t think any such present exists.❜ she teased him, as she began to lower items onto the counter.
The corners of his lips turned down into a pout, taking in what she had told him. He wouldn’t die, but it didn’t hurt to be a bit dramatic to get them moving even a second faster. ❛ Maybe I could. You’d be responsible for finding a new way to off the lot of us. ❜ Edmund never doubted her, though. He trusted her on a level that some just couldn’t wrap their head around - but he didn’t expect people to, anyhow. His thoughts were so lost that he hadn’t noticed her hand in his. Still, his fingers tightened slightly and he swung their hands when they moved. ❛ Your doubts aren’t heartwarming, y’kno’ that?? Absolutely ridiculous the type of bullshit I have t’ go through day in & day out. Isn’t it ??❜ He had directed his question to a passerby who couldn’t be less than concerned about what the male was talking about. ❛ I don’t like humans. ❜ It was a low grumble, his eyes turning down to the items on the counter. ❛ Why’re you buying all of this, anyhow?? ❜

Theo didn’t mean to take forever when it came to getting a few things. He was the type that took his time but he knew that his partner was annoyed on how long it was taking him to make up his mind. It took him a few more seconds before finally buying the things that he had in his hands before looking over him slightly.
“I’m sorry, I took forever.”
Fingers pressed into his temples as he tried to relax himself. Edmund didn’t really get ill anymore -- just short tempered when he’s been in the sun too long. Which he has been a tad too much today. He’s never really explained further than a short ‘I’m allergic to the sun’ bullshit excuse. He’d have to mention it someday, whether it be muttered or a full ex- planation. But now wasn’t the time to think about it.
“Are you sorry??” His gaze was questioning when he looked up at the other. Edmund’s own hues were blown out blue -- though they were dimmed. “If I start breaking out in hives, or something every-fuckin’-where, tha’s on you.”

as a being so pure & filled with light, devi’s body could flourish in the light of the sun. after all her body was re-crafted after her death, into a guardian angel. her very skin practically glowed when she walked the earth. she had failed with edmund. letting him be drained of his blood by a vampire, effectively turning him into one. he was no longer a human so she hadn’t seen the need to hide herself from him any longer. she was tied to him so long as he was a being on the earth, but she had fallen hard for him. & right now they probably shouldn’t have been at the store, but she was always trying to make certain he was well taken care of. ❛a present?❜ her blackened wings visible only to his eyes, quivered. ❛& what kind of present might that be?❜ she teased him. she surprisingly was able to blend in to the human world, even though she hadn’t been a part of it since the 1700′s.
It would have been unnatural to not be shocked by the presence of the other; to know she had been tied to him from the times he was human. It, however, wasn’t strange that other beings that were unexplainable walked around - Edmund himself was a good example. ❛ Er, yes...a present. ❜ He hadn’t a present, but under- neath the beating sunlight, the man was willing to tell her anything to be allowed to scramble out of it. ❛ It wouldn’t be a surprise pre- sent if I told you what it was, would it?? ❜ A soft puff of air pushed past his lips ( it was odd how he still had the habit of breathing it in, just for such effects ) & he stared at her, slightly desperate, ❛ so lets go, yeah ?? I’m probably going to melt before we get back.❜
