What if---Yakuza AU

I lost this meme somewhere.

     i. Akira is head of his own family, simply known as The Kondo. He has a fair share of members that are actively devoted to him, although that’s all they’re there for, is the loyalty. Akira treats his yakuza as an actual family, doting on them and treating them to whatever they want, which is why they stay. They love him for his personality and not so much the gifts he provides.

     ii. Akira takes in whoever needs a good home. He owns a fairly large home and everyone pitches in to pay rent and keep the place clean. They all live with him, under his roof and simply refer to him as ‘Mother.’ No one outside The Kondo know what the head of the family looks like.

     iii. He is the least likely to be known as part of the yakuza, and he’s a bit of an antihero of sorts. His goons do most of the work, from drug, firearm, and even slave trafficking, Akira is fairly lenient with his rule on his family. Although he usually liberates the slaves he obtains, simply out of pity and hope these slaves would gain a better life after being saved. Despite him wanting them to have a better life, they usually pledge their allegiance to him, and that’s how The Kondo expands.

     iv. Akira is surprisingly relentless. Though that is why he’s head of the business. He’s not afraid to get his own hands dirty, and it certainly will not be pretty. Akira is a strange fan of torture and knows of many different tactics to get someone to either talk or shut up for good. He’s much more than a figurehead or a pretty face.

     v. He protects people for the common good. Plays Robin Hood every now and then if it’s called for. Akira can’t stop himself sometimes, he has a large heart and he’s not afraid to show that on his sleeve. He’s a true bleeding heart and will not stop until he’s saved everyone, even if in includes destroying himself in the process.
