Here are some comparisons between Crypto’s canon skin tones and the skin tones from popular fanart.

I’ve heard the “lighting” and “colour palette” excuses. One artist even told me that they whitewash him because they think that lighter skin “looks better” than his canon complexion.

Crypto isn’t white and it’s important to represent his skin tone. Whitewashing is a huge problem in media portraying Asian people. As a fandom we should be aware of this and not let whitewashed art become popular.

I've been hesitant to say this, but I'm sick of being quiet about it.

Ever since the release of Loba's design, the Apex Legends fandom on all platforms has become nearly impossible to deal with.

I'm becoming less and less excited and eager for the new season today because of all the toxic energy because of Loba's release in Season 5.

Personally, Loba isn't that 'sexualized'. Sure, she has heels, a corset, and a low collar, but female sexualization in video games is far worse. For god's sake, it's not like she's in a fucking bikini or something..

And another thing, people have been constantly complaining about why she is able to do all the things she does in heels. Women with practice can run fine in heels. My cousin wears heels all the time and has gotten accustomed enough to them that she could run perfectly fine in them.

Personally, I think Loba's design is amazing.

I might have to leave this and other platforms because of how fucking negative the fandom has become. And over a character at that.

So, in conclusion... For a lack of a better term; Grow up, please

So, if any of you are hating on the developers or writers for Loba's design or whine about sbmm/crossplay tomorrow imma need you to block me. I'm not tolerating it. These developers have put their souls into this game building a vast and complex world of characters and lore, and because a woman is hyper feminine and in fancy attire, y'all are losing it. Women dress like this in real life, for their own want and will. She's a thief with expensive taste and knows she's gorgeous, get over it. ✌

Alright gang, tomorrow is the big day! Loba our gorgeous and fiesty thief comes to the Apex Games. Lots of opinions/ideas are being thrown out already, about her kit/outfits/design, good. Feedback is great, however, I and many other fans/decent people will NOT tolerate hate. If you are being disrespectful to the devs/writers, get outta here. You may not like that she is highly feminine and dressed in elegant attire, that's an opinion, but do not go throwing hate to the devs or calling it out as food for men, because multiple, MULTIPLE, women created Loba. Women! Who live and breathe just like us, created a badass thief in a sci-fi futuristic video game to kick ass with. We have been graced by our developers to have multiple complex characters, with backstories and lore to fuel this game. Don't go ruining it because of a frilly outfit just because it's not your taste. She's going to be amazing. Again, be respectful and have fun, don't die!
