Hobbies: Witchcraft and paranormal lore, fortune telling, creative writing, reading, fanfiction and fandoms in general, WIZARDS, knitting, escalating mind games with other light-clan dragons, amateur psychology. Despite being a light dragon, she prefers the grim and the dark subject matter, often questioning what lies beyond the perception of dragonkind. As such, she has a particular interest in the eldritch despite being warned away from it. She tends to be brash, overconfident, closed off emotionally, and has a tendency to Leeroy Jenkins her way into situations if something has emotionally upset her.

Human: She is very, very small in human form, standing below 5’0’ in height with white hair, a pale complexion, and deep lavender eyes. She is very thin and has little to speak of in terms of a shape, but she prefers long, flowy dresses in dark colors, notably black, grey, and purple with an occasional dash of pink. All of these features, including the fact that she is very much an introverted homebody, lead most to write her off as a somewhat unhealthy albino.

Half: Largely the same, a little bit bigger with the occasional scale and slitted eyes.

Dragon: Comparably, she is also quite a small dragon, only about 20 feet long from tip of the snout to the tip of her tail. The majority of her scales are a dazzling white, flecked with lavender (#B536DA). Down her back are swirling black tendril patterns. Her underbelly is a notable vibrant orange, and her eyes are also the same lavender in color. She has spines running down her back and spikes sticking from her tail, all varying in color and shaped like thorns on the stem of a rose. She has long wings with the same black spiralling pattern in the membrane, the majority of the flesh lavender, and the arms are white.

Her breath weapon comes in the form of black, acrid water which also gives off a dark, poisonous smog. The water is poisonous and corrosive to most life forms. As such, she rarely uses it only in self defense (she has SOME respect for the world), but she herself is immune to it.

Rose is adept at magic. She possesses a pair of knitting needles through which she can channel dark energy, though whether she even needs the needles is debatable. She fancies herself something of a wizard, even calling her alter-ego “Lady Grimme”. This is not a natural talent for a Light dragon, supposed healers and mediators. Some fear she is being led down a dark path…

Ironically, this is not her natural proclivity, but precognitive pregnostication is. She has passive talent in receiving glimpses of future events and is uncannily accurate in predicting the outcome of games of luck and chance and whether a choice is a good one or a bad one.

She has a talent with enchanting objects of her own creation to serve a specific purpose, and often imbues what she knits with glamors.

When she fights physically, she fights dirty. In human form, she aims for the eyes with her knitting needles. In her dragon form, she aims for the eyes with her claws, and other typically disabling maneuvers to cause great pain to the assailant but not to kill.

After she was hatched she sought out a forest when she was big enough to leave the nest and made her home deep in the woods, quite a way away from civilization near a river that leads to a waterfall upon which she has set up a turbine to generate electricity so that she can use the internet, among other things. Her underground sprawling caverns are entered through a normal looking cabin which opens up into a large cave. She has to enter the cabin in human form and then make her way down the cavern before transforming back to access it. Despite avoiding civilization there’s a small city probably about 40 minutes away from her dwelling. She enjoys the forest, and being a rather small dragon, can easily hide among the trees even though she can’t stretch her wings as much as she might like.

She is considering enrolling in a human university to expand her own knowledge. The mortals might offer an interesting viewpoint, but because she is not an extrovert by any means she has some trepidations.

— My plan for the character is to brush quite close to whatever we can get to canon grimdarkness and be pulled back from it by the bonds of friendship and what have you. I’d like for her inquisitive nature and disregard for the teachings of her clan to bite her in the ass. —

Troll Appearance: About 7 even, with a thin, muscled frame. She’s flat chested with SLIGHTLY wider hips. Her hair is a veritable mane, unkempt and almost disproportionate to her body. Her skin is dark grey, with a somewhat mossy tint to it at the extremities, and she has vibrant green eyes.

Hybrid Appearance: See Troll form, only now stretched up to 7’9. She has patches of blackish olive ish scales on her limbs and sides, her horns are larger, ears longer. Eyes are slit like a reptile, and her nails are now retractable claws, and she possesses a forked tongue. Her tail is USUALLY there, but she may not at times.

Dragon Form: 200feet at the shoulder, and 260 at the top of her head/horns. She’s sleek and lean, with four long limbs and a long, tapered tail. She lacks any tines along her spine, rather a mane of olive fur, and deep black scales. Her wings are large and tattered at the edge. She has spikes along her jaw, and long ears that move independently of each other.

Her talons are retractable, to allow quieter movement.

abilities Basic Shapeshifting - Can change between Dragon, Humanoid, or Troll form Command Plants - Can inspire plants to grow in a certain manner, or to grow faster, but cannot cause unnaturally rapid growth. Rootwalking - Ability to travel through the roots of trees, seeming to “teleport” between them.

She’s a largely feral individual, preferably her solitude in the recesses of the wilderness for hunting and making safe dens. Her breath weapon is a strong acid, and as such, her scales are acid proof. Her combat skills are VERY strong, and she is downright vicious when she feels threatened. She is not above going for underhanded or cruel moves. Her magic, however is much weaker. Outside her wildbased plant magic, she’s very weak in the magical department.

As your living status suggests, you love the thrill of a CHASE, and many things perhaps better suited to a FERAL CREATURE, but you also (admittedly) have a soft spot for SPEECHES and ROMANTIC EXPLOITS, as well as FELINES; enough so you pepper your speech with PUNS about said creatures when you are EMOTIONAL. You are not a FAITHFUL dragoness, as far as your GOD is concerned, not really caring what making a world for what would even BE like. Example Roleplay:

Gray hands press to a tree, blurring, fading into the bark before seeming to shift back at a nearby aspen instead. The shape of some form of woman forms and unforms between the flora, barefooted, donning only deep olive wrappings to cover her form. Her eyes are narrow, focused, and muscles tensed.

She is on the hunt. Her quarry, an intruder.

Following above this strangers line of sight, she travels within the roots of her home, appearing and reappearing where she will not give her presence away. They draw closer and closer to a hollow, a space beneath a dead tree lined with finer things, magic powered things, and mosses alike, a strange middle ground between a home and a den. This den, of course, belongs to Felini, and the fact this stranger is so close is enough to make her bristle. Now, as she follows, each reappearance brings more reptilian features, patches of scale, strange changes to muscle shape. By the time her home is reached, she is no trollian woman, but a dragon.

Wings spread, Felini soars above, landing between the trespasser and her home, growling, claws sliding out into the forest ground with a soft, nearly inaudible sound. Head lowered, tail thrashing, she…

She looks her intruder in the eye, pausing.

Ah. She hadn’t recognized them in that form. Relaxing, she curls her tail around herself, and picks her head up to seem less menacing.

“Sorry,” she murmurs, voice rough with disuse, “I didn’t recognize you. But, purrhaps, could not visit me in strange furms?”

About the Character

Physical Headcanons

‘Humanoid’ (or Troll) form: When appearing as a mortal under the Dark Clan’s subjugation, Kanaya takes the form of one of the rarest specimens of that race; a jadeblood. She is a little tall for trolls of that caste and for her age, standing at 6'4 and being quite well built to boot - equal parts muscular and soft and solid in body. Despite the views of perhaps the rest of her kin Kanaya will often dress in bright fabrics and jewelry that she’s found or made. (Otherwise, all other canon facts about her appearance apply.)

‘Half’ Form: She keeps her horns and near doubles in height (12'5), but has a hide of incredibly hard jade colored scales, and a lashing spike tipped tail, as well as a pair of wings that are mostly functional. 

Dragon Form: 26 feet tall all the way to the tip of her horns from the ground. Her main scale color is jade, with highlights of gold and red on the fringes of her wings and the tips of various extremities. Her scales are also slightly reflective and will reflect these colors in the sunlight, though very subtly. Kanaya’s wings are membraned like a bat’s and each ‘finger’ is tipped with a golden claw. One of her horns is hooked and slightly shorter than the other, both of which are just as gold as the claws on her wings and the spikes protruding all the way down her back and tail, which ends in a nasty looking cluster of spikes. Some of Kanaya’s fangs stick out like in her troll form - the upper and lower canines protruding especially in an almost vampire-like manner. 

Hobbies

Sewing especially, in her troll form she makes dresses and pretty skirts and blouses to wear. 

Wood carving, both topiary and little wooden statues she leaves around her 'hive’. 

Gardening especially, she’s cultivated a very lush series of them with an array of flowers and herbs, along with edible fruits and vegetables, all much bigger and bolder than any mortal could grow any plant. 

Powers and other Abilities 

Breath weapon: Kanaya’s breath is acidic fire. She can liquidate it enough to an almost lava-like consistency, burning while melting and sticking to the surface it lands on. Both the fire and acid are green, and she can also change the intensity; so Kanaya can just breathe a normal green fire or a line of acid as she chooses. 

Her magical abilities are average, and Kanaya can manipulate plantlife. Help plants grow far larger than they would ever get naturally, change their composition, conjure vines and thorny tendrils should they be needed, and can almost empirically drain a weaker being’s life force to fuel her own. (Rarely used, and the process is slow. Really, she mostly just drinks blood in her halfling and troll forms anyway to get a better effect.)

She is not an eager dragon to fight without reason. Violence must have a purpose, and if that is the case then Kanaya certainly has the stomach for murder and doing other unsavory things to reach the right end. Revenge and swift justice are not foreign concepts to her, either. When provoked Kanaya’s precise and merciless if she realizes your death will preserve the greater good. All for the greater good. 

Colors are extremely vibrant in all of her forms, especially in full Dragon form. When sunlight especially hits objects she can see a whole slew of colors, more than any mortal, though the effect is muted in her other forms. 

She’s trying to learn fortune magic, the ability to see visions of the future. But progress is fitful and going well. 

Character’s Age: Young for a Dragon, couple hundred years maybe. 

INTRODUCTION: Your name is KANAYA MARYAM, and you appreciate the BEAUTY in everything, especially the EARTH and the FLOWERS OF CREATION . You’ve cultivated a lush and almost jungle-like expanse around your mostly isolated home, and despite the fact that you are of the DARKCLAN, you’re a Dragon that loves the feel of the suns rays on your scales. 

Many would call you COMPASSIONATE, and awfully gentle for an Earth Dragon of the Dark Clan. Those friends you make, of your kin and otherwise, you hold with care and your ultimate desire is to help them. No, not meddle and fuss, HELP, damn it. Though many do not realize that your PATIENCE is also SHORT, and you do not take disrespect very kindly. A few unlucky souls know of the HOT TEMPER lurking under your hide, and underestimate the bite of your fangs. 

When in your troll form though you find it particularly easy to talk to any range of people with the INTERNET, and when you type you Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word You Type To Emphasize Your Clarity And Enunciation. 

Example Roleplay: The poor thing seemed to be wilting more with every second. 

Kanaya didn’t have time to tend all of her gardens that day. She’d flown quite far to visit someone else, and a bush of tiny struggling flowers was unfortunately forgotten where it otherwise would have received meticulous attention. She stood over the brown bush, frowning, having just landed. The Dragon frowned, her golden-green eyes looming before the patch of wilted life like a pair of concerned suns. 

And, like the sun itself, she began to feed life into her charge. 

The murmur of a spell, the caress of her breath, and the flowers perked back up and seemed to stretch toward her voice and energy. Red like the setting sun and just as round, each flower became magnificent and vibrant with the spell. 

With that, Kanaya roamed her lush gardens, perking up any sad little plant that she had missed.

hey i was wondering where the 16+ rule comes from? :0 the tumblr rule is 13+.

Honestly I do not recall the exact reason for why I picked that age. A desire to protect anyone under age from having to deal with mature content I suppose? If people from all ages are going to be a part of the group I guess I thought it’d be best to make sure they were mature enough if risque subjects came up in the chat we have, not that they have yet.

About the Character:

-Headcanons: Lives on the edge of a more populated area to maintain a good balance of solitude and company. High anxiety levels, though he generally keeps it on the down-low, feeling as though he’ll be ridiculed for it. Am I allowed to headcanon him being trans in this because if it’s acceptable for the plot, I definitely am. -Hobbies: Staying home usually. -Past: Didn’t grow up in the best area, but eventually got out of it and went off on his own. Extremely wip sorry I need to think on this one. -Heights: –Troll: 5'2 –Halfling: 6’ –Dragon: 12’ Breath: Probably just fire tbh. Fighting: Not the strongest by any means. Generally will turn to flight over fight. Magic: Better at magic. Still pretty clumsy with it as he is young, though he practices with it frequently. Made a point to learn some healing magic for safety reasons, but usually focuses on changing magic because it interests him more. Physical traits: A smaller dragon than average. I can’t decide between him having no wings or just being a wyvern. I’d say none because we don’t know if in canon god tier he has them at all, but then again, wyvern would be a good in-between? I am open to suggestion on that one but currently leaning towards wyvern. Halfling form probably has no wings if that’s the case anyway. Character’s Age: 16 maybe 

INTRODUCTION:      Your name is KARKAT VANTAS and you are a simple WYVERN OF THE DARKCLAN. You enjoy exploring the newest technology of the age though you are admittedly NOT THAT GREAT AT IT. You are also, not that great at a lot of things, but hey, there’s no pressure. You’ve got MILLENNIA to figure things out. You’re of the newest generation after all.      You’re usually considered grumpy by anyone that hangs out with you. You tend to like to find things to complain about, but behind your harder exterior you are generally a good friend and decent person. Also behind that rough shell, you enjoy things like ROMCOMS and otherwise “girly” forms of entertainment. You refuse to be embarrassed by this and anyone who believes you should can FIGHT YOU.      When in troll form (as you usually are), you like to type in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. Contrary to popular belief, this does not mean that you are ALWAYS YELLING. Yes your voice is loud and can be fairly grating, but you personally just like to be NOTICED. Typing in a usual fashion just WOULDN’T CUT IT.

Example Roleplay:      You clawed your way up the nearest tree, fear sparking in your chest, making sure you were deeply hidden in the leafy branches before you dared to look back at what had been chasing you. You held your breath, trying not to shake. Suddenly, you remembered that you in fact have natural weapons you can rely on, and felt a *tiny* bit better with that knowledge. As the creature crashed through the bushes, getting closer, you inhaled, holding in some air to be used for a protective burst of fire just in case. Finally, the creature burst through into your line of vision and it was…      A deer. It was a deer. You mentally hit yourself. You couldn’t believe you’d let yourself be spooked by a DEER. Nothing more than a piece of prey, and you’d scurried off like a frightened wyrmling. You let out an angry snort, a small burst of flame following involuntarily with it. The deer left and you hopped back down to the surface, leaves crunching under your clawed wings and feet.      You desperately hoped nobody had seen that. You’d never be able to live that down if any of your friends had witnessed the feat that was being frightened by a small, hooved animal. You had an image to maintain damnit, and that image did not include running from dumb situations. You lashed your tail a final time before shifting back into your troll form, now that the “danger” had passed.

How are they at magic?)unique physical traits(Big wings? No wings? What you got?) ):  Dragonform height: Around 400 feet, Half dragon: 12'8 feet, Troll form: 8'8" feet. Mindfang’s dragon and half dragon from possess eight eyes in total, whereas in trollform this turns into the vision eightfold eye we know from canon. Her breath weapon is ice breath, enabling her to breath nitrogen and instafreeze everything everything that is hit. Furthermore, a touch of her claw can also cool down the touched area, this ability however is not available whilst in full troll form.  Mindfang also still possesses Mindcontrol in all forms. It’s very strong and capable of breaking trolls and dragons of higher age and pwoer than herself, should their mindbarriers not be strong enough. As she has a powerful and rather dominant personality, she enjoys playing games with others and is rather good at tricking others.  Whilst being simultaneously a very charming person and generally coming off as friendly at first, Mindfang has an extremely deceitful side and is even said by many people to not be able to feel love or affection for anyone else. It has not been confirmed, but there’s always the benefit of the doubt. Mindfang’s dragon body has a rather slim and long shape, much like a serpent, however she still has large wings. Her legs are long and slender, the elbows sprouting fans of feathers, and her leathery wings are fringed to almost look like feathers. Along her head forms a crest of feathers, before her long hair sprouts over her neck much like a mane. Her scales and feathers are of black and dark cerulean color for the most part. Mindfang as countless markings that seem to be made of crystal scattered across her body, and is capable of creating a light from  them, that is bright enough to blind anyone who isn’t a dragon higher than you.

Your name is SOLEIL SERKET, which means SUN.,At least the first part is, and that name kind of is ironic, given that you are a MEMBER OF THE DARK CLAN. That’s right, you are a DRAGON, and although you belong to that clan, you TEND TO MEDDLE WITH THE LIGHT CLAN AS WELL. You’re most vastly referred to as MARQUISE SPINNERET MINDFANG, THE LIGHT, or also as THE SCOURGE OF THE SEAS anyway, so honestly, who is surprised about your disinterest in keeping to your clan? No, you prefer the LIFE AT SEA, and usually tend to stay in your TROLLFORM so you can live a life of PIRACY together with your crew. They know you’re a dragon, but not much other than that. .Taking hostage at a port close to the next capital sure was considered one of your more risque ideas, but no one was surprised that you had been, once again, right about your assumption that it should be save for a crude crew of filthy, terrible pirates to fall in there and rob the warehouses, stores and merchant ships available of everything they have, to the last penny.  No matter how harebrained your ideas sometimes seemed to be, they surprisingly always went (more or less) well, but in the big all around, your crew always was off better than bad, and more often so, rewarded immensily well for following your orders without question.
