“I have a brother! Can you believe that?” Oralie bounced excitedly. She’d been waiting all day for Devlyn to get here so she could spill the news. “He tracked me down online.”
“It’s still so strange to think that you’re not one of us.” Devlyn shook her head, trying to process that Oralie had a whole other family out there.
“Oh, come on. We’ve known since we were kids that I wasn’t biologically my mom’s.” Oralie shrugged. “But we never knew anything about my family. And now, we’re heading back to Selvadora so I can meet them. Say you’ll come?”
“Of course.” Devlyn reached out and grabbed her friend’s hand. “How could I say no?”
