Sky safety PSA: Don't text and fly, skykids.
I was leading my friend through the very beginning of the Forest and trying to chat with them at the same time. The wind made us do a U-turn then when I righted us we ran into a tree.

Also Santa is Tall. For scale I'm a bit taller than a normal skykid (height potion shenanigans). Look at them. Tall.
I love that you can get the manatee plush (temporarily) from the Carnival. Look at it. It's perfect.
Also was anybody going to tell me you could just throw plushies into the void or did I just have to find out by accident.
So I'm in class rn and I saw through the door another classroom was watching something that looked like a trailer for Sky? It looked kinda different tho so maybe it's Journey. Idk I don't know much about Journey I'll look up the trailer asap

can. can we talk about how dangerous lantern lightmending is.
two of the season outfits have shin guards and/or arm guards
since the ancestors are incapable of flying, they were reliant on launch pads, teleporters, and literal zero-gravity devices which, mind you, SHUT OFF AFTER FIFTEEN SECONDS. and those anti-gravity devices can really send you up high! and the speed at which the launchers shoot you up is concerning! you're gonna break your bones!
the lanterns are powered by darkstone. i would not be surprised if they all got some kind of darkness disease from constant exposure to those darkstones or smthn. i mean they got full coverage clothing on, and the lightmending pioneer even has GLOVES with their outfit. i smell radiation poisoning of some sort! bc as we saw w/ the shin guards and arm guards, they already need protective gear of some sort!
on that note, everyone's masks have been cracked and mended. i understand its probably to match the kintsugi theming of the season, but realistically, what happened to their masks to cause them to break?

More seriously I hadn't even noticed all that, the idea of lightmending being a dangerous activity (especially without a cape) and kind of a like "it's a hard job but someone's gotta do it" situation is very interesting. Though even with the fact they can't technically fly I guess they can at least glide with their capes, kind of like a skykid who ran out of energy can jump off a ledge and glide/float down safely, so capes would be more of a safety measure and the goal would be for them to launch themselve, get on a ledge, get the crystals and then jump down and get back safely with their capes, although that would only work for the three who do have a cape. Maybe the other two are just engineers and their role in the team is solely to make the machines and not use them? The darkstone comment is also really interesting, iirc we saw in The Two Embers part 1 that the people who lived in the Last City also started to get some sort of infection, tho I don't remember exactly if it really had anything to do with darkstone, the infection just kinda looked like stone/crystal. So maybe the lightmenders were in fact trying to avoid getting infected on the job.
Apologies if my ramblings don't make sense, it's late and I'm tired. I just thought this post had some interesting points and I had to write it down while my thoughts were fresh in my head.
