BORED- STORY TIME
Hey guys, Iām bored, so Iād figure Iād do story time with yāall and share stories from my life.Ā What would yāall like to hear about?Ā
The time I set my house on fire? The time I lived through a potential school shooting? The time I climbed up a waterfall without equipment? The first (or second) time I lived through a tornado? My ISIS story (a friendās experience, not mine, per say)? My time as an EMT cadet (yāall would NOT believe the idiots Iāve dealt with)? My hiking experience with morons (I was forced to turn into a Mom!friend for them all)? The first time I successfully snuck out of the house to go to a party (I was four *finger guns*)? The time I got yelled at by a school janitor? The time my dorm room was haunted by what I think was a demon? My fiveĀ four different roommates who all were crazy in their own ways (except #5, she was a complete sweetheart- one time she even drove to the hospital to pick me up, like, totally a good!person who deserves the world)? The time I got so lost in New York City that I almost ended up on a train going to Chicago? The time my soccer team played in a blizzard? The time (when I was in middle school) I did surgery on an injured baby rabbit (I was Not Qualified nor Certified to do so)? The time when a fight broke out mid-exam and my exam then got cancelled? My entire senior-year experience in the āClass From Hellā (that was all of the teachersā name for my class, not mine, lol)?Ā
Hey guys, so I was bored and wanted to share some of my life stories (I still do, I promise), however, my amount of schoolwork has gone from 95% to 175%. One of my professors has assigned an INSANE final project⦠So I currently donāt have to time to type up my various stories. So my apologies @cantthinkupagoodname I likely wonāt be able to tell you my story till December. You happened to pick one of my LONGEST stories (as the others are over a day or so, while my Class From Hell story was an entire TWO semesters- and I want to do it justice while sharing it.Ā
Itās all good, do what you need to do. I assume you wonāt forget the stories from now till December. I look forward to reading about your class from hell!
AWWW thanks so much @cantthinkupagoodname !!!! :) Yeah⦠that story isnāt being forgotten anytime soon⦠lol. My INSANE final project is now at 63 pages⦠and this is the preliminary outline. *looks into camera* Being a senior is So Greatā¦Ā
Hey @cantthinkupagoodname ⦠hi⦠sooooooo it most certainly isnāt December⦠sorry about that.Ā
*rubs back of neck*
Itās called have classes over winter break⦠and 24 credits during my current spring semester. A side note, advice for anyone⦠NEVER TAKE 24 CREDITS. EVER. NADA. NEVER. NOPE.Ā
I had to cause one of my classes randomly wasnāt being offered over winter break, ANYWHEREā¦Ā well no, it was being offered in one state⦠Washington. However, Iām sorry, but I am NOT paying $6,000 for one freakin class, especially when itās an into level-class!!!!Ā
Overall, Iām salty cause it is a freakin intro-level class and all prior years I saw that it was offered at a lot of places⦠Iām blaming COVID for itās disappearance from summer and winter class offerings.Ā
So based on my current workload, I do not have the free time or free braincells to write my promised story till I graduate in May.Ā
*jazz hands*Ā
Also UPDATE: I have the haunted dorm room story kinda written out because I had to do so for a class assignment. Itās not quite in order or organized or anything but at this point Iām too tired to care.Ā
So here is the haunted dorm room story:Ā
The story starts with how the Baldwin basement dormsā furniture got replaced by Hoytās haunted furniture, after the Baldwin basement flooded over the summer.Ā
By haunted, I truly, deeply mean haunted. As far as my roommate and I could tell, it was her closet that was the main furniture item in the room being haunted. Her closet door has opened by itself even with the magnet holding it shut. This is important, because we both had a little trouble opening the closet doors once shut, which means that there is no way they should have been able to just swing open.Ā
My roommatesā fan also turned on by itself while we were both in the room and nowhere near it. The fan wasnāt the type where you push a button, it was the kind where you have to physically turn the dial, which kinda makes it more disturbing that it turned on by itself.Ā Ā
Additionally, my own fan stopped working immediately even though it was brand new and nothing had happened to it.
Electronics, in general, acted funky in the room.
The temperature had also been very funky, being randomly cold even though we didnāt have the air conditioner on at all. There was a large, noticeable difference from the hallway temperature and our roomsā temperature, and it was even different from other dorm roomsā temperatures on our floor.Ā
Stuff on my roommates desk would get knocked over at night, with both of us in bed, and no one touching the desk. It was not stuff near the edge, itĀ was literally stuff in the middle of the desk, stuff that should not have been able to be thrown across the room āaccidentallyā or just āfallenā off.Ā Ā
A large amount of bugs found their way in our room with no discernible entry.Ā Ā
Once, her textbook went missing and was found in the haunted closet. She did not put it there, I most certainly did not put it there, and we made sure to always lock our door. There is no sensible, logical explanation for how it ended up in her closet.Ā
My roommatesā new headphones randomly stopped work right after she tried talking to it.Ā
Both of us experienced feeling like something is in the corner of the room at night, a long shadow that was watching us.
At one point, I woke up at night and the aura of the room was so bad I had to leave. I ended up staying with a friend on the upper Baldwin floors, and even away from the room, I just felt like it was angry at me and watching me with red eyes.Ā
Another point is that my friend freaked out when she came down to help me get my stuff to go stay in her room for the night. She asked me why the room felt so angry and dark and what was in it. I need to be clear that at that point, I had said nothing of what was going on, she had absolutely no idea about anything. I cracked and explained everything once we went to her room, and she decided to go back with me in the morning to see if she had just felt that way because it had been the middle of the night. The next morning, she set one foot into my room, turned pale, dropped my stuff on the floor and ran out. I followed her, of course, as I was concerned. Once in the lounge, she explained that when entering my room, she got a feeling of pure fury and deadly intent. She said it felt like something wanted her out of the room and was willing to hurt her to get her out. My friend was extremely traumatized by this experience and refused to set a single foot in my room after that. She also was very, very concerned for me after that and offered to help me get a new room somewhere else and offered to let me stay in her room until I could move. I gave it serious thought, but in the end decided I couldnāt abandon my roommate to be completely alone in that room, nor could I let her be semi-alone with a new roommate who knew nothing of the situation and might not believe her about it.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
I also think it stole one of my Capri-Suns, as I put five new ones in my fridge (at night), and had one shortly after placing them in the fridge. Then I had one in the morning, but that afternoon when I get one out of the fridge, there were only two in the fridge where there should have been three. My roommate is most certainly not the type to steal at all, nor have I ever even seen her drink any juice. Coffee is more her thing, so while the fact my drink was missing was suspicious, I am not inclined to think it was her. However, as we lock our dorm room when one of us is not in the room, as well as our window, so the odds of someone breaking into our dorm room just to steal a juice drink isnāt logical, which makes the situation even more puzzling.Ā Ā Ā
One of the bigger suspicious things that occurred was that something literally sat on the foot of my bed and on my lower legs. Despite everything that was going on, at that point I thought it was just my roommate taking advantage of our situation and pranking me, so I did my best to not react to it and after a half hour, the weight on my lower bed finally got up and left. I then heard shuffling on my roommatesā side of the room, so that gave me even more belief that it was her and I went to sleep semi-reassured that it was her using the haunted situation to prank me. But the next morning, after I confronted her about it, she swears it wasnāt her and that she was asleep the whole night. I believe her as after hearing my story, she was even more freaked out about it than I was, but since our door and window were locked, if it wasnāt her, who (or what) was on me?Ā
We also tried praying in the room, and directly afterwards, three hard angry-sounding knocking occurred.
I made a cross and then hung it up and then it turned upside down⦠by itself. During this occurrence, both my roommate and I were in our beds, nowhere near it.Ā
My roommatesā closed-for-hours and password-locked laptop started to play music at exactly 3:30 am. It played creepy happy childrenās music. This happened twice, on two separate days. I found the song on Youtube and the link is attached below:Ā Ā
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HChj_r1jc8U&ab_channel=HappyMusicHappyMusicVerified
The second night this occurred, my roommate and I freaked out to the point of fleeing our dorm room in the middle of the night. We ended up going to her car and my roommate ended up driving us to her house, over an hour away from campus. My roommate later told me that that was what convinced her it was not me playing a huge elaborate prank on her the whole time, as I had no way of opening her laptop (password locked) and nor could I make it play sounds while it was closed.Ā
When we had our friends come over to see our dorm room and see if the weird vibes in the room was just our imagination running wild, one of them took a picture of the closet, and in the picture there was a shadow of a human-like shape in front it, even though when the picture was taken, none of us were standing up to make the shadow, as we were all sitting on the floor.Ā
The lights in the room flickered on occasion, for no discernible reason.Ā
It also smelled weird in the room several times, I cannot describe the smell, other than just off.Ā
A fourth major occurrence was that something stroked my chin and neck and then started strangling me while I slept. I woke up and went straight into attack mode, but nothing was there to hit, though the strangulation stopped once I threw some punches into the air. The area on my neck was visibly red when I went to look in the bathroom mirror. My roommate was dead asleep in her bed and the door and window were locked. If it had just been a dream, then why did my neck have a handprint impression on it afterwards?Ā Ā Ā
Additionally, something would shake my bed from underneath it at night, and this increased from occasionally happening to happening every night, directly after I tried doing an exorcism in the room.Ā
My roommate said that once, when I went to the bathroom, something knocked on the door three times, but when she opened it but no one was there.
A slightly-black, long handprint was discovered on the ceiling above my bed and during the same time we noticed it, my light also flickered. The handprint also slightly looked distorted, like claw marks, perhaps.Ā Ā
Another major incident was when my roommateās phone was thrown across the room. The thing was, it had been nowhere close to the edge of her desk, definitely not enough to just āfall downā as it was literally in the middle of the desk.
All actively started directly in October and immediately stopped once October ended and we hit November. The activity stopping at that point honestly made my roommate and I more freaked out, though I am slightly glad it did stop, as I am not sure I could have stayed in that room much longer. Truthfully, I was very, very close to starting the process of trying to move out.Ā
Both my roommate and I tried getting our RA to have the university take the closet away and give us a new one, but she informed us that it being āhauntedā wasnāt an acceptable excuse in the universityās eyes and it needed to be damaged in some way for us to get a new one. We also thought about pushing it into the hallway and out of our room and simply not getting a replacement, but in the end decided we didnāt want to make a fire hazard for our floor nor be fined for it being in the hallway.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
Several semesters after my experience in my Baldwin basement dorm, I have now heard reports from other students whom I am friendly with- who also live in the Hoyt dorm- that the unnatural activity in Hoyt has stopped, which gives credence to my theory that the haunted furniture was sadly given to my Baldwin basement dorm which then lead to my unnatural experience⦠*looks into camera*.
Regarding the haunted dorm room story, I forgot I have pictures:Ā
Below is the image of the handprint on the ceiling. It was much darker in-person, but didnāt come out that way on-camera:
Above is the haunted closet with the salt line we put down.
Above is the spider jar we made due to there being so many spiders/insects in our room.Ā
Above is the capture of one of said spiders.
Above is a picture of the broken window. I canāt remember if I mentioned it in the initial story but things kept breaking in our room for no good reason.Ā
Above is a picture of the haunted closet in full, it is the one on the left that is closed.Ā
Above is a picture of the initial haunted dorm (Hoyt) that our furniture came from.Ā
