THE ACTUAL NEWS
I read an interview with this guy (who is a real news anchor), and he said he told his acting agent that he is ONLY interested in parts where he plays a new anchor. This is no coincidence. This is by design.Β

The End Specialist (known in the US as The Postmortal) was published in 2011 and is Drew Magary's first novel. It describes a world not too far in the future that has discovered and eventually normalizes a cure for aging, allowing humans (and some animals) to live much longer than is naturally possible. I have always considered this topic a lot, what I would do if a cure for aging was real, how the world would change. The Postmortal perfectly captures what I have spent hours pondering. It spans sixty years of the protagonist, John Farrell's, life and covers all aspects of the new postmortal world: politics, business, medicine, etc. Reading it has helped me decide that finding a cure for aging, while a scientific marvel, is not practical at all and even if we can do it, it would take years of planning every single aspect of the new world to release it. It has a great ending and I highly recommend it to anyone who has daydreamed about living forever.
