“This girl doesn’t do overtime, and in fact, a nice long vacation was needed. It’s nice to sit back and not have to worry about making sure the world doesn’t end.”
“I can’t promise nothing is broken.”
Aranea sighed as she shook her head. “Of course you would get into some sort of trouble. Aren’t you gettin’ a bit too old for this?” Teasing was in her nature, and she wasn’t about to stop, but even so, she poked at the battered and bruised areas she noticed on him.
“Looks like your face was spared at least. The important things,” she said with a smirk. “Now, can you move everything properly, or do you need your ass hauled over to a medic?”
sternxmarshal:
“ you didn't’ say THAT the other night.”
“You mean when I called you an ancient relic instead?”
“Don’t age? You’re a fossil.”
I have 2 reply velocities
Option one: you will wait until the end of the year for a reply
Option two: I WILL REPLY THE FREAKING SECOND YOU DO
Aranea over here judging people.
don’t you DARE underestimate me.

He couldn’t help but shrug for a moment. Standing there for a moment, he kind of didn’t want her in this room, but you know what – it didn’t even bother him in the slightest. “ — Could have knocked.” He teased, with a slight smirk.
“ Alright, I’ll run out to get some more, in a little bit. I Have to go out and grab something for DINNER anyway. I don’t feel like taking out again.” he shrugged again. and wasn’t sure WHAT he was going to make, but — now he knew he needed to get some more coffee. Just his luck to say the truth. He wanted a cup of that — but he’ll drink some tea once he is willing to make it.
Crossing his arms for a moment, he simply nodded his head “ — Thank you. I know you don’t really care what you see on me, but it’s a little annoying when I wanted a little peace.” he shrugged quickly and smirked once again. “ —- I’ll be out in a moment.”
He replied, the second she left the room, he closed the door — Only to SOON get his closed back on, and grabbed his phone for the moment, and walked back out of the room. Finding the woman he looked over at her.
“ — so instead of sitting around, want to come with me to the store? – Or, would that be weird?”
While waiting for him, Aranea took up space on the couch. It was better than getting lectured about knocking on doors. One of those shoulda, coulda, woulda moments, but that was something for future her to keep in mind. Assuming this little arrangement continued.
Swinging her legs up over the arm of the couch and staring at the ceiling, she frowned at the fact that this had started to become a regular thing. Maybe she’d been hit one too many times in the head to keep showing up like this. Luckily she wasn’t left with her thoughts for too long.
The question certainly was weird, if Aranea had anything to say about it, but what of any of this wasn’t?
“No weirder than sharin’ your bed for seemingly no reason,” she said while swinging her legs back off the arm of the couch. Aranea stood and stretched out while popping her back in the process. Well, there wasn’t much point sitting around either way. “But since you seem to want company, I can tag along.”
Rather than wait around for him--since he was bound to not waste too much time--Aranea made her way toward the door and stepped outside. He had to lock up anyway, not like she had a key.
date a girl who can kick your ass because chances are she’ll be able to save it
Lays head on lap. "....."
Aranea shot Cor an annoyed look. “I’m not some pillow, you do know that, right?”
She could–should–push him off. He had other options of places to lie his head, like his own bed. “You know…this doesn’t help the theory that you’re getting too old to be runnin’ around like you do. Maybe it’s time you retire and leave the work to those of us who can actually stay awake.”
(loqibesthia) "Hey! Watch where you swing that thing!"
Sure, she almost hit him, but clearly he was fine. There was no need to complain about not being injured. Besides, he should have more faith that people knew what they were doing.
“You know, I could, but you could also watch where I’m swingin’ it.”
Minor update to my rules involving following/unfollowing.

“Come on, then! Hit me!”
“Your stance is all wrong.”
“Am I doing this right?”
“I feel like I’ve been chewed up, spat out, and run over repeatedly.”
“Get down and give me 20!”
“How many miles/kilometers are we running?!”
“Hey! Watch where you’re swinging that!”
“Nice punch! Now do it again!”
“You won’t hurt me, I promise.”
“My grip feels off…”
“Have you ever used a(n) __ before?”
“I don’t want to hurt you…”
“I think I’m going to feel that tomorrow.”
“If you can lift me up, then you can lift these weights just fine.”
“On a scale of one to ten, how much did that hurt?”
“Here, you put your feet like this…”
“Relax. I’m trying to help.”
“Can you teach me how to __?”
“God, we stink.”
“Are you doing okay?”
“Are you alright?”
“If I do fifteen push-ups, can I be done for the day?”
“Come on! Another round!”
“You can win this time!”
“Work your angle a little more and you got it perfect!”
“What are you doing up at this hour?”
“Where did you get that bruise?”
“Hey, no, stop. You’re going to break your fingers punching like that.”
@sternxmarshal x
“You did, and now you are out. I hardly see the issue here.” Modesty was pointless, not that he seemed to be hiding anything.
“Anyway, you’re about out of coffee. Just thought you should know before I forget. Trying to be a gracious guest and all,” she said while waving a hand dismissively, not believing her own words.
In reality, she didn’t want him getting snippy if he didn’t realize it and ran out. People could get grouchy without coffee, herself included. “Go ahead and get decent, marshal. I’ll leave you be.” She would just go sit around until she finally decided to free him from her temporary company.

“That’s not supposed to bend that way.”
“Do you want me to look at it?”
“Don’t move, you’ll make it worse!”
“Stop moving!”
“There’s so much blood.”
“I’ll see if I have a first aid kit.”
“Just… Stay here and I’ll get help.”
“How did you even do this?”
