Feelgood .com
So earlier I was in the mood for some good feels and, being me (and also at work over lunch) I things that make you feel good (or something along those lines). First result is a twitter hashtag thing (no, I don’t use twitter and cant’ be bothered to figure it out) and I opened it up to have a read. First thing was some random scribble that probably only ever made sense in the tweeter’s head. Do people still learn how to write full sentences in school? Or how verbs work? Anyhoo, one or two items down I come across this little gem: You know you miss someone when something good happens to you and they’re the first person you want to tell about it. A very feely thing to be sure, but being me I thought about it. Then, having done a quick review of my mental “interpersonal interaction history” I conceded that, at least in my case, it is true. Then I thought about it some more and compared a mental recon of my all mail folder with my sent items folder. The size made me realise that, going solely by that one tweet, I have approximately two people who miss me.
Love you mom and dad.
