hello hello, i am new to the minecraft fandom on tumblr so... we'll see how this goes. this is a side blog, my main @ghostface-com. i'll reblog from here but u may see my main account from time from time so beware...

i am currently hyperfixated on vampires smp. i have slight interests in unstable universe/hermitcraft/X life/empires and many more MC smps like that... more will likely go on this list as time goes on.
my favs are pyrosythce, owengejuicetv, shubble, themythicalsausage and smallishbeans.
can u tell i like the vampires?? i love the found family trope so BAD BRO HELP.
ive been playing minecraft since 2015 but sadly, in recent years- i got sorta rusty at the game. BUT BUT I am trying to get back into it so. hopefully this blog will help motivate me some more.
I am aware of the inaccuracies here (Martyn didn't actually get left behind by his father and Cleo didn't rebel against their mother) this is just too good regardless
Shelby: Ok, maybe playing “whose family is most dysfunctional” wasn’t the best idea we’ve had. Pyro’s been crying in the bathroom for an hour. We can’t get him out…
If some or all of the Vsmp cast were supernatural creatures other vampires, what do u think they’d be?
Apo is the only one I have any true thoughts on.
They would be a fallen angel :3
OOOOOOOOO hmmmm okay let me think about this.
I’ve already made a post about it, but Ren would be a witch to me. There’s just something so delicious about being the very thing you’ve hated your whole life, and you don’t even know it.
Pearl would, obviously, be a werewolf.
Cleo is 100% a church grim. Church grims historically are a way to circumvent the belief that the first soul buried in a graveyard will be cursed to haunt it forever. So they buried a dog first instead, to which that dog will then guard the bodies and guide their souls to the afterlife. Tie in the dehumanization in Cleo’s backstory, them calling themself a livestock dog, and finally becoming a guardian of Oakhurst (and living in the castle), the place she ultimately died, it really fits.
Pyro is Frankenstein’s monster. Need I explain more. (He could also be a Minotaur. Their parents fucking hate them and they’re also very much a victim of their circumstances. He can’t control how he was born (turned). But he is also killing people about it. Which is. Also just Frankenstein’s monster so. Pick your poison.)
I’m thinking Abolish would be a Dullahan or just a regular Psychopomp. Dullahan are the Irish folklore equivalent of the headless horseman and are typically omens of and personifications of death. They’re usually depicted as coachmen (Abolish’s butler gimmick). Basically, he’s a headless grim reaper. Dullahan carry their own heads, but I think Abolish with the “girl with the green ribbon” aesthetic would be really fun fanart wise.
I’m thinking changeling for Martyn (which is deeply funny bc I have a huge life series fantasy AU I’ve been working on for a year where Martyn’s a changeling and his characterization is fucking identical to v!Martyn. Completely unintentional. I laughed about it for 5 minutes straight). Think about it: a wanderer with no real concept of his own identity, lying about said identity, having Apo’s blood inside of him (not quite a vampire, not quite human)… it’s fucking perfect. (Bonus: he would be Ren’s familiar, as familiars can be categorized as fae :))
I hear you with fallen angel Apokuna, but I raise you: Selkie. A creature that can shed their seal forms and transform into humans, with stories of humans stealing their pelts to force them to marry them and prevent them from going back to the sea. She’s got the water aspect, the coercion… you can even be transgender about it via the seal pelt. Not to mention how Selkies are typically helpful and kind to humans but are also vengeful and dangerous when provoked.
While it sounds boring, I think Owen could be a ghost. Specifically a vengeful ghost, such as an onryō or plague maiden. Ghosts are defined by their hauntings, and Owen is very cyclical in nature. His ass is not breaking the cycle. (Bonus: Louis would be a werewolf :))
I went back and forth a LOT with Scott. I thought of a fae specialized in taking names, the pied piper, the sandman (but specifically the version where he takes children’s eyes), all sorts of stuff. But then I realized. Kelpie. They’re shapeshifting water spirits that typically take the form of horses, but also sometimes people. They’re also one of the few mythological creatures that turn into men to seduce people, rather than women, which is very gender of them. There are stories of them luring a variety of different victims (children, men, women) onto their back, where their skin will stick to the Kelpie’s coat, and the Kelpie will slowly walk into the water to drown them. The only stories of people escaping from the back of a Kelpie involve them cutting off their own limbs. Shit is dark.
Avid is a demon. That’s just canon. (Sorry to be boring 😔)
Shelby should be a cryptid, like Bigfoot or Mothman. Lockness monster, if you’re feeling flashy. They deserve it.
Drift reads as a Phoenix to me. Rebirth and renewal relating to Drift facing her fears. Take this with a grain of salt though, as I’m less familiar with Drift’s character.
Legundo was (and still is) giving me trouble, but I’ve sort of landed on two ideas. Cerberus and the Caladrius. Cerberus because of both the association with death (which could be a connection to Abolish :)) as well as the service aspect. Cerberus is also born of monsters, which could mean nothing. The Caladrius because it is said that if the bird looks at you, it takes your sickness into itself and l flies into the sun to burn the sickness away. This could tie into Legundo’s self sacrificial nature and also his guilt, because if the Caladrius doesn’t look at you, that means you were always destined to die. There’s nothing it, or a doctor, can do.
Sausage is a human because I think it’d be really funny. That and because I cannot for the life of me think of anything for him?? For some reason??
Anyways.
If anyone has any alternative ideas, feel free to share :)
I understand vampires smp through the lens of it focusing on redemption and ending the cycle of violence- no matter how many horrible things any of them had done, if they were willing to change, that was what mattered. it ended because they were tired of fighting. it didn't matter if the score was settled, all anyone wanted was peace, no more wars, no more fighting the tragedy comes from the characters who died before they had a chance to be better, and the characters who refused redemption
pyro's ending says "he was preyed upon by unnatural forces beyond his comprehension, only to inflict the same pain onto others." he killed avid, killed the 'weak' part of him, the good left in him. he shows no remorse as he explains avids death to shelby, and so she kills him. abolish was willing to cure owen, but he refused a second chance. ren fought the vampires because he saw no good in them, saw them as pure evil beings and he died before he could realize that they were the same. meanwhile avid, by his finale, was begging to just go home, but he was killed before he had a chance to fix anything. legs only ever wanted his redemption through death, and he died believing he did not deserve a happy ending after everything he did.
scott was genuine in wanting to change for the better- his speech to owens grave confirms it wasnt a lie, and as such, he was allowed his happy ending. it isnt about whether or not he 'deserved' redemption, its because he chose to try. apo got to reunite with her love despite all the horrible shit she went through. seriously went through some of the worst shit during the series oh my god. pearl and cleo were focused on each other, trusted each other, and ended as one of the few relationships to stay together. abolish ends his series stating none of the vampires left need to be killed and decides to pay everyone a visit, even though he (and apo) were the most disconnected from the surviving group by the end. and shubble and drift continued on despite their grief, they left behind their fears and moved forward onto a better life. applause from me, honestly, this is probably one of the best endings we could have gotten.
