Part 3! Of my random Vic x Reader story. I really do enjoy making these tbh. Doesn’t give me the stress of depending on where this may lead because it doesn’t have a real story it’s just whatever I come up with lol. Again, thanks so much for voting on these silly things.
Part 1
Part 2 *** Tuesday, 19:04pm
The idea sounded kind of nerve wracking, being invited to a game night and meeting his friends after only meeting him just now. It was too forward and the look on his face says it all. He wants you to come and meet his friends, he wants you over to his house which you'll see for the very first time and eat up all his snacks, sit on his couch, drink his beers and laugh with his friends. He wants you there. He wants you. "Perfect. I love board games." You muttered, your voice breathless like you were just holding in your breath for too long. Maybe that's why you look so sick. Vic grins, those shimmering teeth that sends a shock wave down your spine alerting how effective his smile was. "Great! It's this Saturday at 6! i'll see you then, y/n. Ttyl!" He said excitedly, weirdly using the acronym out loud in a sentence. He was such a weird guy, and you were learning to know that. You grief silently, worried to the idea of seeing other people so soon after the move. Not even a quarter of time to yourself and you already had an invite to some hangout at your neighbor's house. Although, it was only five days from now, maybe you could use that time to get to know Vic and maybe feel a little comfortable in getting to know him better than those few long hours together. You made a promise to that, locking in on getting to know Vic in the slightest way within those five days. You practically need help anyway, your house wasn't fully furnished nor stored in yet. It was the first night at your home and you had a boy over already, a marked achievement you could cross of your teenage-self list. You settled in for the night, counting off the days by marking ideas on how little information you can get from Vic in such little time upon meeting his friends. /// Wednesday, 07:14am
Surprisingly, the neighborhood heard was quiet enough to actually hear the birds flap their wings and chirp amongst themselves. By now you'd hear dogs barking mercilessly, cars reeving up and disturbing noises of arguments and sirens. You certainly don't miss Texas because this was heaven to you. So welcoming and warm. You had to dig out your luggage to pick out a relevant casual wear for the day. Just an outfit you had set out inside your suitcase in case you couldn't set up your room in one day. You kick on your shoes and tie up hair and went straightforward outside, catching your keys and striding towards your truck. Just before you could inject your keys into the slot you noticed by the far corner a blurred figure approaching. You knew who it was just by how his hair bounces. You roll down your window and smiled. "Morning, neighbor." You greeted. Vic chuckles, his laughter slightly raspy. "Morning to you too, neighbor." he mimics your texan accent. You blushed, not realizing that slipped. Vic leans over the car door and rested his arms on the window panel. "Where you headed so early?" he asks.
“Furniture, health care products, food..yknow, stuff for my house.” You answered simply, tapping the wheel with your thumb. He smirks, weirdly at that. He jogs around your truck and slides in without permission. You pause, confused to why he was sitting there beside you and buckling in his seatbelt. “Let’s go. I can be your personal GPS!” You laugh, so early and you already feel excited. It was also perfect, you needed time with Vic. Maybe throughout the day you can learn about him until Saturday. That’s the plan. You start the truck to life, purring as the radio talks but quickly replaced by your phone.
Vic mentions a furniture shop that always had the best couches on sale, anything you need in a living room, they got it. Each couch you sat on didn’t feel right for your mind, the scenario picture not fitting the vibe. You went off, searching for the perfect couch until it was the right one that can commit to your home.
“Jeez, y/n, you sure are picky with furniture..” Vic teases, his hand stuffed deeply in his pockets as he watches the employer walk off with the signed paper work. You chuckle, shaking your head lightly and folded your arms. “I don’t want a trashy home. Is that evil?” You defend, smiling warmly.
He shrugs, his broad shoulders flexing under his shirt. You weirdly caught that, biting down your tempted tongue. You bit down on your bottom lip, brushing off your lips with your tongue to moist them. “You thirsty?” Vic asks, catching you off guard.
“Why you ask?” Vic laughs, tilting his head and tapping his lips. “You licked your mouth. Either they’re dry or you’re thirsty and from where I’m standing, it’s definitely not chapped.” He winks.
What the fuck? Was he teasing you or had he happened to notice?
You didn’t question and shrugged it off into the back of your mind. The supervisor said it was entitled to be delivered to you by Friday. So you left but your stomach gurgled on your way to a drug store. Vic laughs, grinning at you mischievously.
“Yknow that means you’re hungry, right?” He teases, watching you with a smirk. “I don’t exactly have money for brunch..” you admit shamefully, keeping your eyes on the road and not worry what expression he may have on.
“Ok..so why am I here?” He suddenly asks, stopping at a red light to get a good look at him. “What?”
“Why would I be here if you weren’t buying brunch?”
What that fuck.
“I thought you were just just helping me?”
He laughs, almost manically then there was that stupid grin. “Y/n! Im just kidding!” He chuckles, shaking his head in disbelief, his curls framing his face perfectly. “I’ll pay for brunch, okay?”
You froze, not because it was unexpected or anything, just because it was something that almost never happens to you. You nod snd simply say ok.
10:30am
He guides you to a restaurant, small arguments when you took the wrong turns. You’re new to the streets here, you didn’t know where the fuck you were going, it was like you’re learning to drive again.
You magically did manage to make it alive though, even if you almost served into that black truck earlier but that wasn’t your fault, Vic wasn’t making any sense especially when he started to yell in Spanish. How the fuck can a person know the difference between “derecho” and “derecha” it has to get confusing at some point.
What matters is you made it and now you get to eat and where he took you was actually pretty decent, not too fancy or too dirty but in the middle. Homey. You loved it, reminds you of home.
“So where are we?” You asked, sitting down at an unassigned table, Vic sitting across. He doesn’t say anything, only wears that stupid smirk with those stupid full lips. God was he cute and he knew it too.
A lady eventually comes by, handing over the menus and greets you guys warmly but not entirely as what you expect. “Buenos días, jovenes! Qué puedo traerte hoy?”
That fucker..
“Buenas, eh..puedes empezamos con dos horchatas y que tienen de especial hoy?” Vic had spoke like a fucking champ. This fucker is fucking full on fluent in Spanish and you knew nothing. Spanish class didn’t clutch for you back in high school. Now you’re left humiliated cause you didn’t know what the fuck they were saying and what an horchata was. It sounded gross.
After the lady had explained whatever Vic asked, he excused her and she smiles at you both before levitating. You glared at him, eyes dark and brewing. He froze, caught off guard by your evil glint.
“What?”
“What? What?! You just humiliated me!” You shrieked, your voice in a low whisper. Vic stares blankly, not understanding what you were talking about. “Humiliated you..how? Exactly?” He blinked.
“I don’t speak spanish.” You cursed, your voice in a low hiss.
He laughs, catching on now. “What? They have the best Mexican food here!” He chuckles, smiling cheekily as he rest his elbows on the table, the plastic wrap making a weird sound.
“You did you say you liked my fajitas and I thought hey, maybe they like Mexican food so..tada!” *He grins, waving his hands in jazz hands as he gestures to the little mexican restaurants that had giant fans all around, little old people at the booths, big families with their crying babies or stubborn toddlers. The walls painted in warm colors with unique frame and mexican paintings. Cute..
“Ok so what? Do I order the fajita?” You ask, looking at the menus which you guessed, also in spanish.
“Well, only if you want too. They have other options like, six corn tacos of bistec or flour which is a little extra.” He begins, trailing off with the rest of the menu. “They have pozole and menudo, both hot yummy soups..”
“You’re not recommending..” You sigh, unbothered by the soups and why is the flour an extra charge.
Vic rolls his eyes and smirked. “I know exactly what to get you.” Just then the lady comes back, handing over the drinks. “Ahí tan! Ya están listos?” She asked, preparing her notepad.
“Si, yo quiero los enchiladas con salsa verde, no de rojo. Y para ella, unas..lonches.” Vic smiles at her, handing her the menus. She nods and strides away. You blinked confused to what he had ordered you.
You look down at the drink you were given, the weird white looking thing and what are those weird brown specks inside? “What's wrong?” You heard him speak up, watching him drink away that weird beverage so naturally.
“What the fuck is this?" you ask, looking between the drink and Vic.
"You never had horchata before?" he asks you, slightly chuckling like it was something unbelievable. "Just drink it, it's so good. It's going to change your life." He encourages, nudging your drink closer and places the straw inside for you.
You looked down at the drink again, skeptical of what's inside and what it could possibly be. The expression on Vic's face made you hesitate, nervous on what he was making you do. You brought the straw to your lips, slowly sipping through the tube to swallow a small taste of the unusual drink and once it hits your tongue you froze, the flavors exploding in your mouth. The cinnamon kicking sweetly and the yummy creamy flavor it has. It was actually fucking amazing.
You blinked stunned by its unique taste, clicking your tongue as you go for another sip. Vic laughs, amused in watching you discovering horchata for the first time. “Told you..life changing..” he smirks, his eyes soft and something else you couldn’t quite focus too much on because of this yummy drink.
Eventually, the both you got your food and grew a conversation between each other, learning about him and introducing yourself. Of course you leave a out few details due to past experiences of over sharing so you did your beat to lay out the not so normal details. The food Vic ordered for you was actually pretty darn delicious, minus the weird white cream it had inside it, it was a genuine pretty good sandwich. Well, Vic said their called a lonches and huge difference from sandwiches but you love to tease him about it.
After brunch, you spend the whole day shopping together, Vic helping you pick out certain things and you dodging it cause he just had severally bad taste. I mean, he said the round, small green velvet ottoman looked really cute. No one uses ottoman’s but old people! Like come on! Anyway, it was pretty rough but fun day with his awful taste and opinions and the both of you joking around and being playful together.
Like when you guys went to the supermarket together, he was goofing around with the tampons, mocking that scene from "She's the man" where Viola stuffs a tampon up her nose bleed and a lady was looking at Vic weird for doing it. He was so embarrassed and humiliated for not noticing her before and made a fool of himself, you never laughed so hard before.
He even had some cute moments and other moments you rather not admit to yourself. But other than that, you had a fun time with Vic and you can’t wait to get him know him better soon. Plus getting to meet his friends soon this weekend.
Vic was actually a pretty fun and funny guy, a little awkward but sweet and very thoughtful and sympathetic towards everyone. You already appreciate him as a neighbor and now as a friend, maybe even a best friend..
