“Why that’s exactly my point. I’m a Shepherd. Neuro’s in my blood. Wouldn’t you be so proud to have not just one but two of your brother’s kids join you in your takeover of the field. Hell - fifty years from now every neuro case on the West coast could have a Dr. Shepherd in charge.” Bailey wasn’t quite sure neuro was his thing but he couldn’t lie - he liked the idea of his family monopolizing what was arguably one of the most specialized fields in medicine.
“I’m just hoping that my kids catch the neuro bug instead of the trauma one, I don’t want them being slap dash surgeons, though don’t tell my husband I said that,” she said with a laugh. “Though it would be nice to saturate the speciality with Shepherd’s, doesn’t mean I’m going to make it easy for you.”
