I finally colored in this doodle of Cirno and Daiyousei that's been sitting on my computer since 2017. The coloring is inspired by old Ken Sugimori art!

Awhile back I tried drawing a page of What Nonsense in Photoshop, and got intimidated when it was time to ink. But I tried again: this time I was able to recreate the same look as my scanned pen-and-ink artwork!

This was done in Photoshop CS2, using the Pencil tool with Lazy Nezumi as a line stabilizer.

If you missed the announcement on the website, I decided to take a break from What Nonsense for the rest of 2016. I’m ready to start drawing pages again now though!

This year I participated in a SpiderForest Secret Santa exchange (SF is the comic collective I’m a part of, in case you didn’t know).

I was mitsukaiten’s Secret Santa, so I drew Haelu from her comic Arbalest. Arbalest is a very mysterious, melancholy comic. I decided to draw something quiet and reflective instead of a festive piece.

While trying to come up with a fanart idea, I realized that one of the story’s recurring symbols could resemble a snowflake with just a few modifications...
