My love for textiles always takes me back to the capital city of India to discover new colors, patterns and prints. Gorgeous fabrics are in abundance here and I do not mind getting lost in them. Sometimes the sheer possibility to be able create something new, something unique is far more exciting than buying something off the rack. If you too like to create your own clothes, a trip to Delhi might just be the thing for you. You've got it all covered if you manage to visit the city's three main fabric markets. Nehru Place The biggest and most organized of all three. You can expect to discover cotton prints, silks, laces, home furnishing textiles, hand woven brocades, men's suiting and shirting fabrics and much much more. All shops have fixed prices mentioned on all fabric rolls, which makes the process of buying quite easy. Lajpath Nagar Less organised as compare to Nehru place but a must visit place if you're looking for beautiful silks, brocades, embroidered and beaded textiles. A bottle of water will definitely come in handy if you’re planning a your visit around noon time. Chandani Chowk Not everyone's cup of tea. This market can do with a massive clean up and organizing but a gem if you don't mind discovering it's narrow and crowded lane to reward yourself with gorgeous silks. DIY​: ​ALPHABET WALL-ART / HOOKS

Ola! I'm very happy to share my recent DIY project with you. Functional and fun, this alphabet wall-art cum hooks project took me 1 hour to finish.

Price tag - £24 / Rs.2400

To start choose the alphabets ( I.e. HOME, LOVE, SUMMER, OOTD are a few ideas you can look at while deciding to create this wall-art for yourself). Choose words with 4-6 letter to be able to make it in a pocket friendly budget)

Here's what you will need

~ Alphabet hooks ~ Measuring tape ~ Pencil ~ Metal screws ~ Plastic wall plugs (insert these in the holes before you fix the screws) ~ Wall nail ~ Screw driver ~ Wall drill

To help you understand the process better I've shown step-by-step photos of how to go about fixing these alphabets onto the wall.

Process

Decide the wall you would like to install this art on. Measure the width of the wall to decide the center point and mark it with a help of a pencil (you can erase these marks with an eraser post the installation is finished). You can also install the art on one side or in a corner of the wall (it totally depends on you and what your home/ office space allows you to do with it). After marking the center point decide the distance between two alphabets. I have kept 10 inches between all alphabets. After making the distance, mark a line joining them to make sure you install the alphabets in a straight/ parallel line to your floor/ ceiling. Now mark the holes of each alphabet with a pencil. With the help of a wall nail and a hammer create a small hole in the center of each hole mark. Drill holes with a wall drill, insert plastic wall plugs in each hole to give enough strength and support for the screws and the alphabets. You want to do this process from the middle and go outwards. Hope you will enjoy creating this in your home or office to make your space look cool and functional.

Brighter days call for a change in my wardrobe staple​s​. Embracing this change with a 70's silhouette. I had been wanting to take a break from my skinnies for a long time now and was on a hunt for a perfect pair of belle bottom jeans. I couldn't resist these flared pair as the first look of my​ Summer collaboration with​ French Connection. ​S​oft ​b​roderie anglaise tie waist top lends a perfect summer feel to this look. I can’t wait to style both pieces individually - the top with a pair of short/ sneakers and the belle bottom jeans with a frilly top or a check shirt/ sandals.  X

FRINGE & FLARE  

Warmer temperatures call for sheer layers and spaghetti straps. Somehow I never seem to get enough of floral prints. Enjoyed walking through quiet lanes of Holland Park in this light as a feather floral dress. Loosing winter layers has never felt this good. Looking forward to exploring new areas of London in double digit temperatures and sharing tips on what do to when you next visit this beautiful city.

FRINGE IT 

Classic cover-up with a twist. I love how the wind moulds in it different shapes. The jacket comes unlined and it's true to it’s size. I'm wearing a size S. I decided to keep the look simple with my wardrobe basics and throw in some tribal vibes with Bershka Banjara metal necklace to compliment the fringe. xx

THE BLUES

Simple, effortless & chic. Upped my denim game with this super soft and flirty Bershka ruffle denim dress. Ripped jeans add just the right amount of scruff to this otherwise feminine piece. I’m also looking forward to wearing it with skinny jeans and block heel sandals.

WHITE 

This top sums up Summer for me. In love with the attention to details. Perfect fabrics, shape, colors and textures. I can’t think of any bottom I can not style it with. £85 price tag was a tad bit high for a cotton top but it was love at first sight.
