After a loooong hiatus, I am back at it. Steel Falcon has a teaser!
Project Update: Steel Falcon - A B&M Hyper Coaster Finally getting back to Steel Falcon. I am comfortable with the layout, though some banking adjustments need to be made. I adjusted the height a bit (12 feet taller), and have begun work on the supports.
New Project: Steel Falcon - A B&M Hyper Coaster
I started working on a new ride. Steel Falcon is a ground-up idea I had for the background of Aftershok NL2, and it has morphed into a pretty odd hyper coaster. It is unfinished - I haven’t figured out how the finale will play out - but thus far there is airtime, lots of fun baking, twists, and turns. The layout is somewhat reminiscent of Raging Bull at SFGAm, with its twisted layout versus an out & back layout. Stay tuned.

I’ve finished the track work for Hunter NL2. Compared to the original, the pacing is MUCH better. I’ve fixed all of the banking issues, reducing the lateral G-forces throughout the ride, and increasing the intensity of the airtime moments. It is significantly smoother, with no pumps or bumps to speak of. All that is left is cosmetic - deciding on a train texture, support styles, extra scenery, etc. I hope to have the final ride completed in a week or so - sooner if I have more time.

New Project: Hunter NL2 - An Intamin Terrain Coaster
In 2010, I made a ride called Hunter – an Intamin mega-lite coaster. Unlike the typical designs for these types of rides, Hunter was a terrain coaster, racing through a densely wooded and hilly area and sticking close to the ground throughout its layout, which was filled with highly banked turns and tons of ejector airtime. The original Hunter also was one of my first attempts at a custom metal scaffold-style support structure for the lift hill. While not typical for this ride type, I just wanted to see if I could do it. Hunter NL2 will be much smoother, featuring better transitions, better banking, and will hopefully be an overall better ride than I was able to make 9 years ago. I also may change the track design, pick different cars, etc.

Drbcoaster Central Update
I posted this to the Drbcoaster Central YouTube channel to give a general explanation as to why I haven’t been posting anything most of the year. Those who follow me on social media know that my mother passed away while I was working on Baykok last year. Since then, playing NoLimits hasn't been the same. I needed a break. But I am getting back into it, as this video's ending shows. Expect more from me in the coming weeks and months. I'm not going anywhere!

After a bit of a hiatus, I am working on the finishing touches for track work on Aftershok NL2. The big criticism for the original - and with most of my GCI-inspired wooden designs - is that they lack the snappy transitions that GCI is known for. I worked on track shaping, and creating that GCI feel throughout the ride. I think I’m getting close.

I am back at it, slowly. Aftershok was a GCI wooden coaster I made in 2008 with NL1. It is notable to me for being the 1st ride I made that interacted with the scenery - going around amusement park rides, paths underneath the structure, etc. I plan on giving the ride a refresh in NL2, smoothing it out and fixing the G-Force issues, and creating great scenery.
