"It's pretty standard in terms of bodily fluids, just usually less dramatic. Yeah, just temporarily, it pays the bills! nah, I'm a Doctor, much more legal."
Daisy slipped into the seat opposite slipping off her jacket and putting her bag down by her feet, "Gracie's taken to playing with my keys and purse and hiding them." She explained, rolling her eyes fondly, "I do love my daughter, but she tries my patience sometimes." She added lightly. She glanced up as the waitress made her way over to take their drinks orders, asking for just a Sparkling iced water, before turning back to reply.
"I'm doing okay, Busy at work, busy at home!" Daisy said cheerily, "And yes, I'm still loving living here! I honestly at this point wouldn't dream of moving back to Cambridge for good. Mama sends her love, by the way! How are you doing? I saw your show on TV the other day actually!"
"Nope, Definitely Daisy Fielding!" She replied cheerily, "I guess perhaps your family and my family having a running bickering fest probably makes the name more memorable." she added with a small laugh, "My mother speaks none to kindly about yours," she added, with a slightly apologetic look, some of the things Mariana had said to her daughter regarding the Meadows family had been none too polite.
"I've been here for like two and a half years, Since not long after I had my daughter." she replied, shifting the bags on her arm, "I just never changed any of my social media stuff to say I wasn't living in Cambridge still, quite honestly, I don't even know how to." she added with a small laugh.

“I work paeds at the hospital, and today was a blood day. Some days are vomit days, today was a blood day. All in a fountain of it. It was gross. I’ve been doing the job since I was 17, and it’s the most gross thing I’ve seen.”
“Ah. Perhaps you should have started with the fact that you were a doctor. I think that man further down the bar was considering calling the police with all this talk of blood.”
"That would have been smarter. Oh trust me, it's not the first time, I once turned up at one of my dad's business dinners having not noticed I had blood on me, Gave one of his investors a right scare!"
"Okay, so she shouldn't wake up, but if she does, just put her back to bed, make sure her sippee cup has water." Daisy told the babysitter, grabbing her handbag from the kitchen table, "You have my mobile number, right. okay." she said, double checking she had everything before ducking out the front door and heading to her car.
The bar where she was due to meet Roisin for a few drinks was only a couple of minutes drive away. Having arrived 10 minutes early, she made her way to the bar, before settling down at a table, Orange juice in hand.

"You probably don't want to, It made like 6 staff actually physically sick, and they're pretty used to that sort of thing."
"Serial killer, good honest work! No, I'm a Paediatrician, up at the hospital."
Daisy glanced up, giving him a small smile,, "New junior Doctor, put an IV in wrong, somehow hit an artery, fountain of blood. The child is fine, needed a small blood transfusion but she's fine. I've been 10 years doing the job, never ever seen that before." She explained.
"I don't even know, kids are strange creatures. Good, Glad to hear it! Eventful is not always good, I bet you find some interesting stuff though when you're writing?"

With a day off and no one at home to company him, a day out around the city center sounded like a marvelous idea to spend his afternoon. He wasn’t keen on buying anything, besides some groceries on his way home, but that didn’t stop him from walking by shops just to see what type of offers they were throwing their costumers’ way at the end of summer. Sales were appreciated, no matter how much money you had to spare for whatever your heart desired. Simon’s feet only came to a proper halt outside a book store (not because he liked literature mind you) as his eyes glued themselves stuck one some new hyped up cook book he had never heard about in passing. Pondering on whether or not walking in to check it out would prove itself to be worth it, a person stopping next to him caught his attention – features passing by on a whim.
Was that? No… or maybe… Neither his face or name memory were especially happy about assisting him, ever, and seeing as the person he was about to refer to was neither a stranger nor a friend really, he hoped for the best. “Daisy?” The woman in question belonged to a family his own parents liked to trash talk more often than not, though not stated in Canada like the couple they still found ways to poke one another’s nerves from time to time; and Simon being Simon, he preferred to stay out of family drama. However, since Daisy’s move his parent’s talk had become far more frequent and he had looked her up out of pure curiousity a few months ago to greet her and introduce himself, save what little dignity he could for his own name. “Hi! I don’t know if you remember me, we spoke a while ago… Simon? Meadows?” A crooked smile landed on his lips as he held on for an answer.
Thursdays were always nice, having a day off during the week when Gracie was at day-care so she could get up to date was always a welcome relief. Having gone through most of her to-do list, she was down to the last couple of items, one of which was to get some more stories to read to Gracie, since they'd worked through all the ones currently on her bookshelf. Spotting a book shop further down the street, she hefted the bags she was carrying more securely onto her arm and started off down the street. She was musing over what to get, perhaps a few Enid Blytons, or perhaps Gracie was still a little too young for those, perhaps something more simple would be better.
She was distracted by a display of brightly coloured children's books in the window. The titles were familiar, just a reissue of some stories she herself had loved at a child, but with new covers. Maybe those would suit. She looked up as she was spoken to, taking a moment to place the person who was talking. HE certainly looked familiar, but it wasn't until he said his name that it clicked.
"Hi! Yes, I am! wow you've got a knack for faces!" she added with a sunny smile, "Nice to meet you in person, Simon!" She added cheerily.
"Lets just sum it up as New Junior doctor, badly done IV, Hit Artery, mass ward Evac. . . If you bring your littlies up to the hospital for any reason soon, ask not to see Dr Jones!"
"It's not as glamorous as they make it look on TV! The child was ok, luckily, thought it was quite funny! . . . how are you doing? I'm sorry I should have asked that before going on about blood!"
"And there was me thinking I was speaking at a normal ton! well everyone has different hearing I suppose! "
"Shit shit shit shit shit." Daisy muttered under her breath as she rushed around the house looking for her purse and car-keys. Both of which were eluding her. Rushing into the kitchen, she glanced up at the clock. she would most definitely be late. Pulling her phone out of her pocket, she typed Logan's name in, tapping away quickly whilst scanning the kitchen for either or both items.
Message sent, she shoved her phone back into her pocket heading into the hallway, spotting them both on one of the stairs. Quickly grabbing then, she dashed out the door, calling a goodbye to Tess, the housekeeper, as she went.
Clambering into the driver's seat of the Mini, she started the car, pulling cleanly out of the drive. She was looking forward to lunch, it would be good to catch up with Logan. Out of all her parents friends, he was probably one of her favourites, and had been a frequent visitor to Fielding House over the years. Nowadays, it was far easier to catch up, since they lived in the same city, something which was quite nice.
The restaurant where they'd arranged to meet was only 20 minutes drive from her house, and it wasn't long before she was pulling into a parking space and parking up. Daisy headed inside, glancing around to see if she could see him, smiling as she spotted him, and making her way over.
"I am so so sorry I'm late!"
@loganbauman
Daisy paused before replying, "Well Traditionally etiquette would suggest that with a dress like that hair is worn up? But realistically in this day and age that's not necessarily needed to be adhered to, although my mother would quite honestly probably smack me over the back of the head for saying that." she added with a small laugh."
"Yeah, Choking to death on beer sounds like a bad idea, wouldn't exactly be the classiest way to go I suppose."
