hey guys. my mom and i got a call last wednesday at 12:37 am that my step-dad was found bleeding and unconscious on the side of the road and had been rushed to the hospital. he was riding his bike home and got hit by a car. he was left on the side of the road, barely clinging to life for thirty minutes before anyone stopped and helped him. he was rushed to the emergency room where it was discovered his skull was fractured in three separate places and he had suffered major head trauma.

he is a loving father of three, including two little ones, james who is five, and theo who is two. james’s birthday is this weekend, and it’s unclear if his dad will even be well enough to attend. he’s bedridden right now and is still weaving in and out sleep, barely having any short-term memory. he can’t work, or help take care of the kids. my mom can’t work either because she has to stay home and help her husband and her children.

our insurance is going to cover some of the costs but not all of it. we had to get him new glasses, which were $300, and lots of soft, mushy food that he can eat. my mom is taking significant time off, and my step-dad is a computer programmer. he’s not allowed to try and even look at a screen until thursday at the earliest. he probably will be out of work for a month. we have five mouths to feed, and i’m out of work trying to finish school, but that seems a lost cause as now i’m home pureeing all of my step-dad’s food (as he can’t chew at all) and making sure he’s okay. 

so yeah. i’m flexible with all prices and will do anything. drawings, headers, promos, themes, psds, icons, i’ll even write a fanfic for you, i just want to guarantee that my family gets through this. thank you all so much <3

ok all joking and iasip gifs aside, things have been gettin tougher and tougher for my family in the past months and i’m kind of ???? desperate, tbh. neither me or my mom are able to get jobs at the moment — me because of mental illness and being a full time student without a driver’s license and her because of mental illness that’s a lot more severe than mine, meaning there’s literally no income in our house. we’re supported by my grandparents, but they’re now both retired and their money is dwindling, esp since they Are getting older and have not only their own medical and general expenses to pay, but also have to take care of my great grandmother, as well, who relies on them for p much everything at this point. point is, money is tight as hell and i can’t go on any longer without making money, but i’m entirely incapable of getting a job rn. not only do i need to afford groceries and basic necessities but now that i’m in college again, something i had to enroll in to keep my health insurance, i’m going to have even more student loans to pay off than i did last year when i went to a more expensive college .

i won’t ask for money without giving something in return, but i am ……… limited in talents, so i really only have graphics in writing to give. my paypal is [email protected], or you can go straight to my paypal.me. i am extremely grateful for literally any money that anyone is willing to give me. just let me know your name, etc, if you do so and i promise i will make something for you — whether it’s a gifset, graphic, fanfic, playlists, etc. lemme kno what u want and if it’s in my abilities to do it, i will tbh!

for those in the roleplay community on tumblr, i do already have a system of commissions for icons, promos, backgrounds, etc! i’ll put all that info below a read more, since it’s not somethin that’s applicable to ppl outside of the rpc??? the prices for the things below can also give ppl a benchmark for what kind of things would get what in terms of regular donations u kno? anything not on the list below can definitely be discussed further, whether it’s not on there at all or it’s multiples of a certain thing!

            ‘    hey  rose ,  it’s  okay .    i’m  here .    do  you  want  to  take  some  deep  breaths  with  me ?    ‘       breathe  in .   bedtime  has  a  unique  ability ,  one  often  overlooked  &  taken  for  mundane .    breathe  out .  he  is  the  only  one  who  can  step  into  dreamland  &  take  matters  directly  to  the  source-  no  nightmare  nor  childish  fear  can  stand  a  chance  when  bedtime  dares  to  meet  them  in  their  own  domain .    breathe  in  .   there  was  only  one  problem  with  that .     on  children  gifted  such  as  rose ,    it  seemed  as  though  their  dreams  were  charmed ,  barring  him  from  being  the  heroic  sandman  he  so  often  takes  the  mantle  of .   breathe  out .

                 so  instead ,   he  simply  sits  on  the  bed  next  to  her ,   holding  out  his  arm  in  the  hopes  that  she  will  find  comfort  in  his  bright ,   soft  fur .     he  is  meant  to  be  a  protector  of  peaceful  rest .  a  barrier  between  children  &  scarring  visions ,    relieving  them  of  memories  of  trauma  in  sleep .    yet  it  seems  he  has  failed .     the  moon  &  star  on  his  tummy  stain  the  room  with  a  blue  glow ,  mingling  with  the  lamplight  leaking  in  through  the  window .   ‘  would  a  lullaby  help ?  ‘
